Earthquake

OMG!!!  I remember back in 1980 when my cousin was getting married, there was like a 2.2 tremblor in NY that woke me up in the middle of the night, but this, this was something different. . .

Sitting at my workstation, which is the reception area, and things started shaking, building swayed, windows rattling, my chair was like a massage chair for what must have been 10 seconds, I got up to get everyone and say hey, maybe we need to get out of here, when the boss man came out and said, get everyone and let's go, so we walked down the 14 flights and everyone was like in amazement. . .  no one really knew what to do, so we just talked, could not get anyone on the cell phones, which is one of the main reasons I will always have a landline.  Could not even get a text to go out. . .  anyway, all is well and we are back in the office now.

Just heard from my roommate that Roxie was a bit spooked, but just a good excuse to beg for treats (lol). . .

Have a great afternoon. . .

Laureen,
I was walking Utley down by the river when it happened.  I noticed the truck parked next to my car was rocking.  When I got in my car, it kept shaking.  I wondered if it was an earthquake when it happened.

I am concerned for my niece.  She lives in Alexandria, Virginia.  The epicenter was about 86 miles from D.C.

Glad you are safe.

Hugs,
Trish

OMG!  In RI? I am stunned...I have never in any way known of anyone who was directly involved in one!  You are so calm!  Have you been thru this before?  So glad you are OK!  Take care ....Sam

Our grandson was here working on his school project. He felt it and asked if we had. I was on the treadmill and didn't notice a thing. My DH was napping in his chair. The house could come down on him and he wouldn't know!
My Sister called to say she felt it. She is in the hospital. Her knee finally gave out. Trying to decide if they should send her to a live in place where she can get OT. She has a Baker's Cyst and also no cartiledge in there. She was told to lose 40 pounds before surgery.
Her house is packed with furniture and lots of stuff would have to be modified if she needs a wheelchair. I wish there was something I could do.
