No longer a Support Group Leader

For reasons too numerous to list here, I have "retired" from leading a support group here in Sturgis.

It is sad and I've put nearly three years into the process, but I just can't do it anymore.

I hope someone else will step up and take over the group, but I have a feeling they won't.....we had gotten down to just 3-4 people and one of my regulars just let me know today she's wasn't coming back.

Life goes on.....

Dear Pat....I know this wasn't a quick and easy decision for you to make. You are just not like that. I am sure it is a very difficult time for you. Some times we just have to do what is best for us....not always easy to do.

I am wishing you the very best. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers always! If there is anyway I can help with anything just let me know.

Love you my wonderful friend......hugs....connie d

Sad for you and the members who come to learn and share. You have so much to give and guide.

Thank you for the time and effort you have put into being a leader.  You have undoubtably touched people's lives in ways which you will never know.  I have found in my own journey that support is a hugely important piece of the puzzle and without those like you many of us would be lost.

Your journey continues and this is another phase in it.  May you always find satisfaction, health and happiness Pat.

That's too bad, because you are truly an inspiration. Their loss, really. But I do understand. I have tried to do something similar (not with WLS groups, but others) and after awhile, when no one shows up, you just want to give up, too.

Pat,

Leading a support group takes a ton of time and a tremendous amount of work. You have given THREE YEARS - congratulations for that.

So true - life goes on. Just be proud of your efforts and continue to live your life to the fullest.

A special hug for a VERY special woman.

I know this is a decision that you wrestled with for sure.

Hugs,

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
