THURSDAY ,,,,time to get up :)
Morning all you sleeping beauties
It is past time to rise and shine girls ,, I am up , have major sinus issues this am , head totally clogged and hurting but got to try and get past it and get ready for the world .
Sure could use a little prayer as I have some IMPORTANT deadlines today that i cant miss..
Funny thing , we were raised to unless we could not walk , we go to work PERIOD.. I had that instilled in me and it has been a lifetime thing.
I get so frustrated at work with my co workers because they call in all the time for the simplest things.
I try to be of a more easy spirit but so hard when you were raised that your job is something to be proud of and you go do it no matter what unless you are about to croak ..
Oh well , I am to old to become a slacker now LOL so off to work we will go ..
I hope all of you have a wonderful day, eat your rainbow colored foods, take those vitamins and dont forget that exercise .
My nose was pouring last night while I was on the treadmill ,, today its clogged ...GO FIGURE
GOd has sure been good to me this year . I have had no major illness, he is healing my mom slowly , I have a house , a job and even though not perfect, he is walking with me in every bump in the road I run into ...

I didn't read any of the posts yesterday until I got home from my busy afternoon, so I didn't see your post ... I just posted and got off the computer. But you know you are needed here, just as is everyone else.

Funny, Shirley, my mom raised me just the opposite. I was born with a heart murmer, and I was kept home from school for the sniffles. Then, I married a workaholic who could not understand where I was coming from. Now, I am retired on disability.
For your sinus issues, I use Allegra D and recommend it highly. It is available over the counter now.
I got my bloodwork done yesterday for my iron level, and hope to get the results on Monday or Tuesday. In the meantime, I am taking it easy in the evenings. I also got my craft closet packed yesterday, except my sewing machine and some bins.
Today, I see the podiatrist today to find out why my foot hurts like it did when I had a broken bone in it. This time, it is a different bone, but same pain. I also need to schedule my hammertoe surgery for that foot. I knew I was going to need a second surgery, just put it off so I would not have to wear the boot all summer.
Got to see my daughter-in-law on TV last night on America's Got Talent. The entire cast of Les Miserables on tour performed, and she was standing right behind the announcer at the end of the performance.
I have many blessings today. Most of all, my wonderful children and their spouses, and my grandchildren. I also have health insurance to cover the awful expenses of all my doctors' visits and medications.

I have to admit I very seldom read posts after my initial check in the morning. So I do miss a lot of posts.
Pat we are so proud of you. I'm sorry if I missed your post.
Shirley, you are right, many of us had work ethics taught to us that the younger generation didn't. My kids seem to have learned the lesson and I am so proud of them for it.
Our youngest grandson returns from OR this morning. Saturday I take him to SC to begin his Junior year of high school. I know he isn't thrilled about it, but I'm pretty sure it is the best for him. I am a little worried though because he doesn't want to go on any of the planned weekend activities. He says he'd rather stay at the academy and read. Hmmmm. Maybe he just needs to get there and make a few friends. I hope so anyway.
So today will be one of those where I don't get a lot accomplished. But that's OK. When you're retired You have all the time in the
world!

Morning all, sober 290 days and so proud of me.
Just back from a Yoda walk. Totally beautiful day here so far. Got 2 bikinis at Target yesterday, 50% off each piece. I bulge in many places, but I feel beautiful and comfortable in these tiny two pieces. One is a purple and white polka dot and one a solid deep plum. Hubby says I look good, Yoda too.
Need to get blood work done for doc visit next week. I know that the thyroid is working much better. My eyelids are even normal again.
Watched "limitless" last night,interesting film and story line.
Mag let me know she will be coming this way in Sept so I am excited to meet her.
Hoping you all are doing wonderfully on your journey's. Mindful eating is such a powerful way of thinking...savoring each mouthful makes eating a big deal. Also working on mindful smoking. Cut down on cigs per day to less than one pack. Maybe soon I can quit totally.

Hi there,
I am back from the wedding. I am getting back into the swing of things. I have a computer class tonight at work for three hours and I work the weekend. I was supposed to fly back up to chicago for my family reunion but I said screw it. the way my sister was acting before the wedding was uncalled for so I decided not to stay. those people dont care about me anyway!!!!!
My aughter mae a beautiful bride! Ill post pictures when I down load them off the cameras. I havent had time to do that.
My animals are home and are glad to be here.
Monica I gave Meg my number so Ill be glad to hear from her.
I am looking for another job. I dont think I got the job in 'tampa I dint hear from them. Im going to call them today and find out what is going on the job is still posted on their website and i reapplied.
