Early Tuesday morning, what's up?

Hey y'all:

I had a long night at work. I got a call at 1:30 p.m. yesterday as I was getting ready to eat lunch. It was my boss asking me to come in early because she wanted to do my evaluation. Oh great ... so I scarfed down my lunch and hurried in.

Well, I got all 3s (out of 5) on my evaluation, which in my company's rating scale is like getting a 5 (I was told nobody gets anything above a 3). So, wow, that's great. I also was told I would get a raise ... except there's a pay freeze. Well, that bites. At least I know I'm appreciated. I was also told when the freeze comes off, I'll get that raise.

So that made coming in early well worth it. But, although I could've gone home and come back, I decided to just stay there and work. So I was at work for 10 1/2 hours. Busy, busy night, too.

Anyway, I'm tired and should go to bed. Have a good day. I'll check back later.

Hi everyone, I am back from a week long writing workshop which was a fantastic experience. Trying to get my feet on the ground with real life this week - but feel kind of behind the 8 ball at work, so I think real life is about to arrive.

I've resolved to spend a little less time on line these days, so if I don't post every day, I'll still be lurking!

Good mornin' ya'll.
I have an appointment with my oncologist this morning. Just a regular check up. This particular appt. has been rescheduled 3 times. The first time when I decided to drive up to see my Sis, then when my grandson's flight outa here was delayed until the day of my appt. Then a third time when the doc called to reschedule. Today it is a go! But I know I will hear about my weight gain!
I'm thinking I need a fill. I will call today to see when I can get in.
I didn't get any sewing or scanning done yesterday. Our son and DIL came for breakfast before running errands, then one grandson came for breakfast, then our DIL dropped our son off cause he was in pain and needed a rest, then the other grandson came for breakfast and help with his school summer project. This all began at about 9 AM. I had finished my treadmill and my shower and had just begun the sewing. After each wave of eaters left, I tried to go back to sewing, but then someone else would show up! I finally just gave up. Then a neighbor returned our pressure washer and my DH decided to wash the front of our house. Of course, he can't hook and unhook hoses, and can't pull start the dang thing. So basically he held the wand and cleaned the house, I did everything else. Including putting it away. I hate days like that, when I am fired up and looking forward to spending an entire day on a project and can't. I love them all dearly and love having them come by, but I sure will be glad when school starts!
I better hit the shower and see what I can do For an hour before I have to head for the doc.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Eileen, Lynn, & Grammylew, and to all the OFF gang to follow,

Eileen, Glad things went well with your evaluation. Darn that wage freeze.
Lynn,  Reality is no fun after having such a wonderful week. Here's to hoping the real world is gentle with you.

Grammylew,  It is frustrating when you can't work on what you want to get done. I wanted to work on my room yesterday, but the day wasn't what I expected.

I'm still waiting for my new bi-PAP machine. I've been on the phone with them every other day. It will take a miracle for it to arrive before I leave on vacation. Vacation is only a week away. Looking forward to seeing friends and family. That includes any Florida peeps I can catch up with. Planning on arriving in Orland the 10th and Tampa Bay 3 days later. I need someone's phone number so I will be able to contact you.

The pain in my left knee is unbelievable. I was going out to lunch with friends. When I started to get in Kathleen's car I twisted it wrong. It's made cleaning difficult. I so love to have things in order when I leave town. Good thing I have the appointment for my cortisone injection on Tuesday. Anybody know what I can take to lessen the swelling? I damaged my walker yesterday. I'm using an old one that has no wheels. Of course there is no seat on it. Just a very old, very basic walker.

Went to the pool anyway, I was able to do a lot of my exercises. When I got out of the water I didn't want to move. I had turned the air conditioning to 78 and I was still freezing when I arrived home. no exercise today. Well, probably some upper body stuff.

Please have a wonderful day with many blessings.  Mag

Morning Eileen & all. Hope to stay home today. I love working outside & at least it's cool enough to do so.

Got some burning bushes planted yesterday, only 2 left.
I also picked up some mums to plant. One red & one yellow, Morgans favorite colors.

Well it turned out there were no parasites in Morgan. Something to do with the chemo, is messing up her intestines. They talked about surgery, but decided against it for now.

I will post pictures of her later today. Her hair started falling out yesterday, so she wanted her head shaved. They put her hair in pigtails & shaved them off. I know from experence, it's easier to shave it all at once, than to let it come out as you try to brush your hair.

She is a brave young lady, & I am so proud.

Eileen congradulations on your e-val. Why you have to be treated bad, is a mystery to me!

Well time to get moving, the older I get the slower I get!

Good Morning Eileen and OFF friends,

I am writing from the dining room of my cousin's house, we are a year apart and grew up like siblings, fighting like them and eventually maturing and having a wonderful relationship, I was at her house all the time growing up and today we are burying my Great Aunt Mary, the last of my grandfather's siblings, she lived to 91 healthy as can be from years of dedicated gym going and then she developed dementia and so the last 4 years have been a roller coaster ride for my cousin, she joined the rest of our family yesterday and today we will honor her memory and celebrate her life.

Last night I packed a bag of clothes and of healthy food to bring with to get me through this day, so I'm good to go and I will be here all day heading home after rush hour this evening.

Wishing you all the very best day possible and peace and strength to get through the rough spots.

Laureen

Laureen I am sorry for your loss. It doesn't matter the age, it's always hard to lose someone.
I love the phrase" Celebrate Her Life" I hope people
think like that when it's my turn. Have a safe trip,

Nan,

Thank you for your kind words, it was a very nice celebration of what was a life dedicated to her family and I was happy to be there for my cousin, who I can say has handled her Mom's declining in the past 4 years with the utmost respect and dignity for my Aunt Mary.

Hope your Morgan is doing better today, what a brave and wonderful young lady, truly hope that the chemo makes room for her miracle and a return to full health!!!

Hugs, Laureen

Morning Eileen and OFF family!!!

Congrats on the great review Eileen!!! Sorry that you couldn't get your raise now!!!! That sucks!!!!

I have been working 8-9 hours most days so that is why I haven't been posting. To tired to post. I am off today and tomorrow which I soooo need to re-group this sore body of mine!!!!

Went to the Tim McGraw concert friday night and OMG it was so much fun!!! I was so close to him and the rest of the band members that I actually got to TOUCH them!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I did touch Tim a couple times as he walked by and that was cool!!!!! The first band that opened for him was called The Band Perry. Never heard of them...lol then the next band was Luke Bryon. OMG that guy is soooooooooooo cool and the moves he has!!!! WOW!!!! Made me wonder if he could do them laying down.....LOL  The concert started at 7 and was over about 11. We got back home about 1. Lots of traffic!!!!! It was the first time I was ever in the mosh? pit!!! LOL It was crazy for sure!!!! Yvonne treated me to everything on this fun night out. Dinner and snacks plus she even paid to park close so I didn't have to walk so far. We got there early enough to have a picnic in the pavillion out in the parking area and a drink. She brought those also. When the gates opened and we went inside it was a beautiful area there for sure!!! Looked at the Tshirts but I sure wasn't going to spend $35 on one!!!!! I was willing to go $20 but NOT $35!!! WOW!!! So we were walking around and came across the drinks...$5 for pop and water!!!!! Just regular sized bottles!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!! Then I saw the prices for beer!!!! 16 oz $7 24 oz $10!!!! I called Rick and told him there was no way I could bring him to one of these concerts!!! LOL No clue on what the food costs because we already ate so we didn't look at food....LOL but it is a concert I won't soon forget!!! Oh!!! I could not hear for 3 days!!!! OMG!!!! I can hear fine now but omg the muffled sounds I had to deal with and working all day like that...ewwwwwwwww!!!

Had my mamogram and bone density scan done thursday. Waiting to hear the results on them. I go next month for the pap test.

Rick said his mom called him yesterday. She wanted to know if I would like that glass coffe table that I loved so much that she has in the basement. I told Rick sure if she wants to give it away. Then I asked him if she was trying to get on the good side of us again. He said he didn't know. I say she is. I am not buying into it again. I am done with her. Sorry!

Last night before we turned in for the night, Rick was outside smoking on the patio and he thought he saw flashing lights. He went to look and sure enough. He came back and told me that there was an ambulance out front andthought it might be at Joanns. I said she didn't call me....I went out there and sure enough there was the ambulance and cop cars!!! NOT at Joanns though!!! It was across the street at the party boys!!! The peopl above us were outside and saw and heard him beating his girlfriend up!!! They called the cops. Apartment manager also heard screaming and came out and she also saw him beating her up choking her and throwing her and she also called the cops!! We came out just as they were getting ready to leave. Not sure if they got this asshole or not though. I will know more later today. This guy is the same one that did that damage with his vehicle a month or so ago. Also part of the one that set off the dynamite sticks!! Nice guy huh?

So thats about all my news. Working alot and body sore. Weather is nice and had a few storms rip through over the weekend. Need to get laundry done today and tomorrow. See how my legs go up and down the stairs....Thoughts and Prayers going out to those that need them!!!!

HUGS

JUDY,

You have such a great sense of humor. glad the concert was so fun. I love Tim McGraw. Hope to see him someday. I wanna touch him, too.

Sorry that kid has caused so much trouble in your complex. What a jerk. If I was there I would get arrested for beating him up. That is one thing I can not tolerate. I get crazy and I'll fight. There are great young people out there in the world. Obviously he is not one of them.  Take care,   Mag
