Morning ladies ,,,It is Friday and hope all is good in your worlds today ..
Last day of work for 2 days and sure am looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning ..
Nothing planned for the weekend except cleaning and weekly grocery shopping so no excitement here in this house .
.A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. (Proverbs 17:22)

So my heart is cheerful even though I have chores to do :)
My sweet girl Sassy is still dozing this am ..  she NEVER wakes me to go out  , NEVER , she waits for me to  get her up ... I swear I think this dog is human ..  When she was young she would but I got her from an abused rescue place and she was the perfect baby from about 6 months out after I brought her home .
She still cringes when she sees a broom or you raise your foot and so forth an if I could know who kicked her , I would kick them ..
Anyway enough on my sweet girl ....sure hope you pet lovers have that specail love in your life as I know you do.
I hope Julia has peace in her heart today about her mom, and Connie with her banged up body, and all of you with special needs today ..Grammy , sure hope your better as well.'
Gods blessing today for everyone and special cyber hugs for all

Morning Shirley, those to come. . .

TGIF!

I'm off to the gym, work, nooner AA meeting, meeting with a sponsee after work, then home for time to spend with the Roxie girl, my own rescue, who is an absolute delight and brings me immeasureable joy.  That's it for me.

Wishing all of you the peace and strength you need to get through this sometimes challenging thing called living.

Hi Shirley and OFF family to post later.
Whhoooo!! It's payday Friday for me and looking forward to the weekend.

We are puppy sitting Libby a rescue pup that my stepdaughter and SIL have. She is all pup wanting to play and run. She kept my other dogs up last night for awhile but they are getting use to her. I will probably have to take this pup for a walk later, high energy I tell ya! LOL

Planning on working out in the pool after work then home and mow the rest of the lawn with hubby. He started it yesterday when he got home and the grass is nice and green since we had all that rain.

Nothing new with me, still waiting to hear from HR when I can start my new job on 1 North. I'm excited about this new adventure and honestly looking forward to working the 3-11 shift. More money thanks to shift differential.

I looked on the gym schedule what classes I can take since I plan to work out before coming to work and it looks like Zumba and Guts and Butts class, then I can workout in the pool after wards. My BFF and workout buddy works from home a lot so she plans on joining me.

Hugs and prayers for all in need especially Julia, Connie and grammylew! Debbie

Good mornin' ya'll.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words. My back is feeling better this morning. I have only had to take 2 of the muscle relaxers. One when I got back from the doc and one before bed. It didn't make me sleepy or gaga. It just relaxed my knotted back. I will be babying it today.
I gave my grandson's girlfriend the white afghan I made her for her birthday. She cried. I love that girl. Her Mom wanted to know if I had ever thought of selling them. Someone always asks me that. If I sold them for what the materials cost it would be way too cheap. If I added in my labor costs it would be way too expensive. I just do it for the love!
I gave a pink layette set to the daughter of friends who is expecting. I got such a wonderful note from her explaining that her Gramma made each of them layettes when they were babies. She still has hers, but was so sad that Gramma was gone and couldn't make her new sweet Bella her very own. She has one from this "Gramma" now. I hope to supply all of her children over the next few years. Those tears and notes are worth more than any money I could get for my creations!
My thoughts and prayers are with Julia and Monica. Each of you dealing with different kinds of loss.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Grammy,

I can so relate to your crochet "ministry".  I have crocheted for babies for years.  I, too, had many people tell me I should sell my things, so finally, a few years ago I tried.  I opened a "store" on Etsy.com.  Whew!  I won't do that again.  I love to crochet, but trying to price your items fairly is a nightmare.  And trying to maintain an internet store is a big headache.  I let it all go.

I just crochet for the enjoyment it gives me now.  And I donate some items to charity.  I wish we could meet sometime!  I have a feeling we have a lot in common.

Hi everyone, and happy Friday!

Vacation starts TODAY! I am taking next week off to attend a writing class in NH. This is also my birthday present from MIke, because we are not able to get a week away together this summer.

I will be "going dark" and offline for the week so know I will have lots to catch up on in when I get back!

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend and week - take care!

Morning all. Happy Friday.
Sober 277 days and so proud of me.
We went to Ruth's Chris for my birthday dinner. Our daughter Jess had given hubby a birthday gift card for there and we decided to go. Had a really nice dinner. Brought home more than I ate there. Very grateful we don't eat out often. Rich food does not sit well at all. Ate one crabcake and 1/2 of 1 filet and 2 shrimp. Yoda had 1/2 of filet this morning.
Very humid here, we have learned to get stuff done early. House and laundry done.
Not much planned.
Sara, our oldest and I had a nice birthday conversation last night. I thank all *****sponded to my desperate, unhappy, soul bearing rant. Comfort taken to my heart and soul. Hubby also gave me comfort about the past being in the past.
Sad about Julia's mom, but recognize that her passing is a blessing for her and her family. Julia has had such a difficult path to walk this past few months. She should have peace in her heart with all she did.
Hoping all have a good weekend. Happy times please. Monica

Good morning Shirley and all my OFF sistas!

Finally got that sweet man of mine HOME last night!  Oh, I'm so glad to have him back again.  And glory be, the AC was still working when we got here.  Maybe my little run of "problems to fix" is over for now.

But as much as I love having hubby home, sometimes "re-entry" can be a little rough.  Poor baby has terrible jet lag and also terrible leg cramps from the 24 hours in flight.  He was up and down about a dozen times last night, so neither one of us got a lot of rest.  I think I see a nap in my future today.  It usually takes him about 3 days to reacclimate from over there to over here. I don't know how he does it.

So I got to Houston early yesterday and went shopping at the mall.  For the first time in a long time, I didn't have to go shop in the BIG department!  I shopped in the NORMAL sizes!  Hurray!  I found a dress for the wedding that I think I like better than the one I made.  It was 50% off, so I bought it.  Pea**** blue with beading at the neckline.  Sleeveless, v-neck and fairly long.  Prolly suppose to be full length, but on me, it's about 6 inches above my ankles!

Then I found a darling pair of bronze, jewelled sandals.  They weren't on sale, but sistas, I bought them anyway!  My shoe size won't change, so I can buy all of those I want!!!

I also went to an import store and bought 9 bamboo and paper hand-held fans!  I foresee being VERY popular on at the wedding on Saturday evening as I hand them out to my various SILs and nieces!  LOL!

Well, hubby is wanting his breakfast, so I'd better get up and spoil him a little.  No pork of any kind allowed over there in Saudi, so we always have what I call a "pig fest" when he first gets home.  He craves bacon and sausages!  I still don't eat those post surgery, so I'll have a veggie burger this morning.

Prayer and cyber hugs to all those who need them today.  Love you all!
