Good morning OFF family and Happy Hump Day for us workers!
Pat R. hugs and prayers for you and your family.

Yesterday was my eldest SD 33rd birthday, went over to visit and gave her the high chair we got at a yard sale when we went camping last weekend along with a card and some moolah!
Holly loved the high chair and so did mommy, we got a great deal on it too.

So today after work I plan on going to the gym with my BFF and work out buddy. Then on to Meijers to pick up some groceries. I hate shopping on the weekends or on a Friday, too many people doing the same thing.

I went up on the Unit I will be working at hopefully starting there on the 14th, still haven't heard from our HR yet. Met a lot of the staff and everyone was so nice. One of the Social Workers knew me from our Weight Lifting class. Hopefully I can find some staff there that like to work out at the gym before going to work! Now wouldn't that be cool??

Take care everyone, it's hazy here in Kalamazoo and we did have a nice storm go through but I slept through it last night. Hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbie

Good mornin', ya'll.
So sorry to hear about your cousin, Pat.
I stayed in bed way too long and slept too long on my back now my back hurts like he**!!
Our grandson made it home to PDX finally. 24 hous later than first scheduled. But he got to his gate in ATL as the flight was boarding and they told him he was on standby!!! He is an MVP Gold traveller from all the trips the entire family takes. He called his Mom, but the gate gal would not even talk to her. She told the grandson he was already at the top of the list because of his status so there was no reason to talk to his Mom. He DID get a seat, and there were 5 other empty seats, so what was the big deal!?
I have an appt. at the oncologist for labs this morning, then I see her next week. I also have to drop some stuff at the dry cleaners and stop at Han**** Fabric. Then my DH and I are going to lunch. We haven't been out together in over a month.
WAY too hot here again today! I don't mind the heat, but I hate the humidity. I hope everyone else everywhere is staying cool. And beware of ground turkey!!
Have a fantabulous day!

Good morning everyone,

Pat--I'm so sorry for your loss.  I know it hurts. But I also know you are a believer and can rejoice that she is in Heaven now, free from her poor diseased physical body.

Well, I am NOT a happy camper this morning.  The AC guy never showed up all day yesterday.  It was 108 F here yesterday afternoon!  This is a 2 story house, and we had separate AC units put in for each floor.  I thought the upstairs unit was working until I went up the stairs last night to sleep in one of the bedrooms up there.  OMG.  It was so hot!  Cooler than downstairs, but still hot!  I guess the heat rising from downstairs was just too much for the upstairs unit to overcome.

So I get up early, after a lousy night's sleep, and I call the AC place AGAIN at 7:30 a.m.  They tell me they will "probably" get to me today!  Grrrrr!  I am trying to be nice, and I know I'm not the only one without AC today, but geez!  I can't leave because I have to be here to let them in.  It's a little like being trapped in hell with only an ice cube to cool you off!

I don't mean to borrow trouble, but tomorrow I have to go to Houston to pick hubby up at the airport.  I certainly can't NOT go to Houston, and if they don't come today, what am I going to do tomorrow?  And what will I do with my dogs?

I have to make a quick run to town this morning.  I have to buy a money order or a cashier's check and get it in the mail today.  You watch.  They will come while I am gone to town!  I gave them my cell phone number, but I'm sure I will lose my place in the queue if they come while I'm not here.

Sorry, all this heat and a lousy night's sleep is making me cranky.  I'll quit complaining now.  On the plus side, my daughter and grandbaby didn't come to my overheated house yesterday, so at least I didn't have to deal with company on top of no air conditioning.  I assume no news from her is good news.  If they were still fighting, I'm sure I would be hearing about it.

I'd better close and get to town.  Sorry to be such a bummer today.  Hope everyone else is doing fine.  Connie, how are you feeling today?  Julia, I hope you are hanging in there with your mom and have a good visit with her today.  Nan, still praying daily for little Morgan.  Cindy (Outer Banks), I hope you let us hear from you soon about your doctor visit.  Cindi, hope you are recovering from surgery today, maybe even going home today.  Carla, safe travels and best wishes for your daughter's happy day!

Everyone else, thoughts and prayers and much love to you all!

Hope your A/C repairman shows up for you. Not fair having to swelter. I would be very pissed. Keep after him!

98 degrees and feels like 111 here at nearly noon; 48 percent humidity and hardly any wind. Cleaning fairy just left about an hour ago. She doesn't have A/C in her car ... ugh! Can't imagine it (well, yes I can ... before my Honda, I had a Subaru wagon I called my little brown oven ... no A/C and let me tell you, it could get very hot in the summers in South Dakota).

I'm still in my jammies and might not even go out for mail. I have salsa chicken in my slow cooker and that will be dinner.

Oh, yeah, Eileen, I am pissed, but I'm trying to understand that they take their service calls "first come, first serve".  However, if they're not here by 3 p.m. today, I'm going to call back and offer to pay overtime if they will just please come fix it tonight!

Hugs Hugs Hugs, you are too stressed and that is NO fun. Deep breath, doing it along with you. Big BLOW OUT. Kick the AC  repair man when he arrives....mentally with spiked cowboy boots in his rear!!
Now tomorrow, breath again deep and blow....off to pick up hubby and dump it all on him!! Traveling Bra is not always nice. Sorry. You deserve major pampering and all sweet times for the next 3 weeks, al least!!

Thank you sweet Monica!  You're right--I'm a little stressed today.  What I wouldn't give for that man of mine to be HOME right now.  Good news is that the electrician is on his way out right now to replace a burned up Disconnect Box, whatever the hell that is.  Supposedly that is the joker that made the AC quit working.  The AC guy said if the electrician replaced it, the AC should start working again.  Who knows?

It's 106 here right now.  It's cooled off some.  It was 107 earlier this afternoon.  I think it's about 97 in my house right now.  Whew!  I need cold air and I need it NOW!

P.S.  I'm using Judy's frozen wet towel trick.  It's helping some.  Thanks, Judy!
