Finally.....the Dr. called
Hugs Cindy and I hope the doctor finds a diagnosis for you.
I have chronic pain and it's due to adhesion's. I make myself move and just keep keeping on. Sometimes I give into the pain and just relax in my recliner and meditate. I don't take pain pills anymore I'm afraid I'd get addicted to them. I also use visualization techniques.
What works for one, might not for the other. Good luck hon! Debbie

I was outisde, after reading your pos****ering my plants and thinking about what I wanted to say to you.
One of the phrases that came to mind was not to "borrow trouble". I see that you use that phrase, too. And it means exactly what it says.
At this time, you don't have a diagnosis. Stress makes everything worse - take that from someone who had to learn to remain calm after living a life of high anxiety when I was much younger.
Breathe deeply a few times, drink some decaf tea, read, meditate if you know how. Do whatever you can to take your mind off your fears, and keep doing what you have to do in order to relieve the anxiety.
I know that this can't be easy, but we are all here for you, even me in Canada!
Hugs and good thoughts and prayers.
Margaret

UPDATE......but first I want to say "thank you" to Shirley, Deb, Connie & Margaret for your post of concern & well wishes/prayers for me.
Yesterday, I literally lay on the sofa all day showered and went to bed. Was running low grade fever which zaps me completely of my strength. Anyway, finally today, my Gastro Dr.'s office called. At first, they had me coming in to see the dr. on Monday morning. I almost begged...just was desperate...lol and asked for anything earlier because of fever & pain. She called me back afrer lunch and has me coming in on Friday morning. They're working me in so it might be a long wait. Well, I'll pop a pain pill and use my DH's shoulder to lay my head if needed while sitting in the waiting room. Much better than having to face the weekend in such pain. I did get a call from RNY surgeon's Nurse this morning and she said the Gastro Dr. is probably going to do a EDG and colonscopy...yikes. I've had both of those but at different times. Not sure what to expect with both ends being looked at...ouch!! Anyway, on a brighter note, the surgeon's nurse says it sounds like an ulcer to her, from my symptoms. I can handle that much better. I'm doing my best to take Margaret's advice and not borrow trouble. I'm reading, praying and trying to stay busy until we get some answers.
Again, thank you all SO much for your prayers and concerns!!!!
