(((Julia))) Not sure what to say that others have not said already...my heart is sad for you and your family right now. You are doing the right thing by not putting her through this chemo at her age. We are all here for you if youneed us.

GOD Bless you!

HUGS

Julia  -  I am so sorry to read that your mother has Hodgkins lymphoma and is entering hospice.  I think that you're right not to put her through chemo at this stage in her life.
You have had way too much to go through in the last couple of years.   Wish that I could do more than a cyber hug, but it will have to suffice for now.

Hugs Julia and I'm so glad you aren't putting your mom through the rigamaroll of modern medicine. Quality of life is what matters most now, spend as much time with your mom as possible. You are a wonderful daughter. Keep mom comfortable, give lots of hugs and kisses and let her know she's the best mom in the whole wide world!
Hospice is wonderful, they know what to do to keep her comfortable.

Now Julia, I'm hold your hands and saying a prayer for you and your family:
Dear Wonderful God,
Please give Julia and her family peace in knowing that you are now and forever at everyone's side. You have the them on Eagle's Wings, guiding them and even carrying them at each of them in their time of need, you know when to lift them up in sorrow and joy. Even now we know you are in charge and we gladly give over to your our needs because in the end we know that you are all knowing and loving. We feel your love and compassion for Julia's mom. We know Julia can't be by her mom's side all the time so we pass her into your loving care along with Hospice Care.
Amen.

Hugs Julia, this is a very hard time for you and your family.
Again, you are a wonderful daughter, cherish this important time with your mother. Debbie

Prayers for you and yours.  Having a diagnosis can be comforting no matter the outI come. I totally understand your feelings about how we treat our animals during their pain and illnesses.

Sorry Julia, it is so hard, my mom's husband who I am caregiver for both of them also was diagnosed with lung cancer two weeks ago, he is 89 this sept. and had his voice box removed l4 years ago.....they want him to start 35 radiation treatments the 11th of this month....they won't give him chemo because his body won't handle it they said.......he is less than 100 pounds also...and at the same time my puppy, precious, who is 11 was diagnosed with a enlarged heart and we started her on meds too.....thought about what you said about putting my puppy down so she doesn't suffer, I cried yesterday thinking about making that decision....wow, my prayers go out to you and all who have posted about their love ones, I want to say to say to all of you one thing, if it wasen't for WLS we may not be here taking care of our loves ones......we may have been so out of shape of sick that we couldn't.............Lois

Dear Julia,
Your whole family is in my thoughts and prayers. It is so hard losing our parents.
We didn't have to deal with a devastating diagnosis with my mom. She was simply old and ready to meet her  Maker but seeing her slowly slide downhill the last few months was so hard.
May your moms last days be peaceful and her passing be  pain and fear free.  I hope you also find peace with your self as you care for your mom.   Jo
