Cindi,

We'll be waiting to hear back from you next week (or as soon as you feel up to it)!  You're going to do great!  I think you're the most mentally prepared person for surgery I've ever known.  Crossing all my fingers and toes for a quick and easy recovery for you!

I don't know much about the sleeve, since I had RNY, but I suspect it will be much the same for the first couple of days in the hospital.  They will bring you dinner trays with way more "food" than you can handle at first.  If you're on an IV, you'll be getting all the fluids you need, so don't rush to "eat" something.  Let your tummy rest and heal as much as possible.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you!

Really, Vickie - dinner trays???  All I got in the hospital were tiny little cups with Carnation Instant Breakfast  in them, that took me hours to get down.
Then I was on liquids for two more weeks.

Yeah, really, Pat!  I got trays 3 times a day with tea, gatorade, broth, jell-o and a popsicle!  It was all liquids, but it was a lot!  I would just pick one thing and sip it a little while.  If I had tried to "eat" all of that, I would have been so sick.

I thought it was a little crazy for them to bring that much to me in the first 24 hours!

Cindi,

I'm so happy for you. I think going early in the day is so much easier than sitting around waiting.  Can't wait to have you on the loser's bench.   Mag

Cindi:

Good luck on your surgery tomorrow. You're ready to join us on the losers' bench. Soon you'll be singing, "I'm a loser!" it's a good song.

Morning OFFers, sober 272 days and so proud of me.
Carla, so sorry you got hurt, horrible to have this happen....take care you have so much going on in the next few weeks.
Not much going on, RV picked up and back from a super Yoda walk. Will be hot again here, so we do stuff early on. Grateful for AC.
Hoping all are well, cool, and feeling good.
