What's Up Saturday?

Good Morning OFF Family,
Had a good day at work yesterday, after going in late yesterday.

Had a rough night sleeping.  Then, Utley had an accident on my comforter, so I have to take it to the laundromat.  Argh!!!

Today is my two meeting day.  I will be attending my AA and OA meetings.

I also have to pack some more boxes, and sort through my clothes.  I have way too many clothes.

I managed to lose my temper with my younger son last night.  He never returned my phone calls this week, when I was trying to inform him of my clot situation.  He kept making excuses, telling me I should have called his cell phone, which I did, but he did not answer, and I could not answer i;ts voicemail.  Girlfriend failed to give him a message.  No apology.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hugs,
Trish

I hope that your OA and AA meetings go well.

I know you live in PA - did you get the big thunderstorms - We lost power early last evening with some severe thunderstorms, and I was glad when I woke up that power had been restored.  The rain will make the weeding that I need to do in the garden much easier.

I found out yesterday that I have to have a cardiac nuclear stress test before the cardiologist will support my surgery.  It's a little nerve-wracking, but neither doctor wants surprises during the surgery.  So the next 10 days will be really busy, as I'm also scheduled to be out of town on business most of next week.

Now it's time for me to go for my walk.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hey Eliza,
We did get some roaring thunderstorms before sundown last night.  It was not fun walking Utley at the start of them, because the wind was whipping things up, and it looked like a scene out of the Wizard of Oz for a while.  When I got home from walking him, we headed  straight for the bedroom, so I could hold him comfortably, because he is terrified of the thunder, and he trembles.  My bedroom is where he always  heads for some reason.

I will say some prayers for your cardiac tests.  Better safe than sorry when it comes to this surgery.  I hope everything falls into place for you.

Hugs,
Trish

Good am to you ,,,I hate that kids dont remember who would give thier life for them , who raised them , who still answers EVERY CALL FROM THEM and who runs to them when they need us .. I have one of those and it is hurtful .. I think they think we will be here forever so they will call us later.
So sorry your having issues and praying for you that this too will pass with the clots as that isnt a good situation.
Take care of you and know that I just said a prayer for you ..
Hugs

Good morning Trish & all to follow.

Kids, even the adult ones, can be a PITA!!!!

Tomorrow a bunch of the support group people are having a get together. We are doing a dish to pass which will be interesting.

It will not be like the family reunion planned for next week. (My Dad was the oldest of 7 brothers and one sister.) The cousins have been meeting, organizing and planning what each family will contribute. That menu will be all sorts of Italian yummy's. aka loaded with calories.

Kisses
Annette

Good morning Trish, Eliza, Shirley, Annette, and all my OFF sistas!

The good news is that the scale dropped a bit more this morning!  The bad news is that I have a bridal shower to attend today.  Oy vey.  Cake, cookies, snacks, etc.  I just hope there's some fresh fruit or veggies along with all the carbs.  Wish me luck.

So I didn't feel very good at all yesterday.  I decided to have a bowl of cereal (Kashi Go Lean) with half a banana for breakfast, and darn if it didn't make me sick all day.  I was taken by surprise, since I've already eaten both bananas and Kashi cereal many times with no problems.  Go figure.  Maybe it was the milk.

I have to figure out what the heck to wear today.  My closet is pretty thin these days.  Which is fine if all I'm doing is hanging out here at the house or running errands.  I'll have to see what I can throw together. I do have a few new things, but I bought them for Canada in August, not Texas in August.

Speaking of which, that darn outdoor wedding is one week from today.  I was watching the newscast last night and they gave the 7 day forecast.  Next Saturday's high is predicted to be 104 F, and that's BEFORE the heat index.  I feel sorry for my nephew who is marrying into this family of idiots who planned this wedding outside.

So, much to do today and I'd better get crackin'!  Trish, I wish I could be there to help you move.  I saw your appeal on FB.  I hope you get lots of volunteers.  Eliza, keep your chin up, girl!  Shirley, it's good to see you posting every day.  Annette, I feel your pain!  I hope you can resist all those goodies at your family reunion.  Between the bridal shower today and the wedding next week, I'm feeling the same food anxiety!  We can do this if we just THINK about it first, right?  Right?

Love you all!

Morning Trish & all, Trish I am with you on the kids. As much as we love them they sometimes need a smack upside the head. Good luck on your move!

Vicki, don't envy the outdoor wedding. Sometimes I have hidden a wet cloth in places thet sweat the most. Don't need that anymore as I had a masectomy 10 years ago. I will pray for rain, for cooler air & indoor wedding! already forgot who posted, love being old. am praying that all those not feeling good, are better soon.

I posted an update on Morgan, just copied what the kids put on facebook, as you all know my memory is crap. Anyway things are at least happening now. Thanks again, Nan

Nancy,
I'm sorry.  I missed what happened to Morgan.  Would you mind bringing me up to speed?
