So my son is in Doha, they are charging him almost $200.00 for his checked bags. I am livid!!!!! talk about greedy business.

I will find out tomorrow. When he has internet, it is very limited. That is a great idea, I know they have done this to other service members. It'n not right!

This is shocking.  So of the airlines give servicemen and women free checked baggage, and they can get on the plane with the priority passengers.  It's only right!

Yes this was in the news, they really dont care,  and it is our own airlines that's doing it.
it's time mommas go back in the streets and pick up our signs -like we did for equality in the 60's and mother's against drunk drivers- etc.  I bet if the females truly stood up again- alot of this nonsence would stop.

Still amazed that this is happening after all the press this issue has received. I kept this issue on my daily list of what makes me mad for 3 weeks. Delta was the airline most offensive about this. When I make my daily calls to WH and congressional members I will again bring this up. I had even called the DOD a few times to complain....our government has a so called written contract with airlines NOT to charge for the 4th bag that soldiers are carrying home after deployment. Most soldiers do not return with large groups and when they fly home, they must bring all their military issued equipment. They should never be charged for the baggage, but have been. Make your voices heard...call and ***** about this cause it has got to stop.
