Time to fess up.
See Trish, we are all giving you love and support and no one is beating you up.
Why?
Because you are making yourself feel bad about food choices.
None of us are perfect, we don't live in a perfect world....BUT...(and there is always a but! )
You can control for you what is in your apartment.
Connie has to accept living with others and not having control what is in the house.
Damn chocolate, and I feel for you Connie cuz chocolate calls out to me every day and it doesn't make me sick either.
Is it wrong to eat chocolate? Nope. But if we do eat chocolate, then we have to cut back somewhere. Calories in and calories out. If we are eating chocolate every day one way to get some control is to tell yourself to have chocolate twice a week but then look at what you are eating to cut back on other calories. Thin people eat chocolate. WE can to if we can get a grip on stopping at the amount you tell yourself to eat. That's where Mindful Eating comes in folks. Chocolate won't make you fat but it will if you keep returning to the candy bowl. Some people can stop and some can't, it's sets them off in a binge. WE all know ourselves and what we can handle.
That's why I don't have cookie or potato chips in my house. If I have a party the chips go home with someone else and sigh...so do my cookies!
I love this forum, it will hold us all accountable in some way or another. Being honest is one of them, coming out of the closet and saying "I'm addicted to whatever" it is and can be cathartic. Getting the right help you need is a must. Nope, we can't do this alone.
