Good mornin' Sam and all the rest to follow.
We don't seem to be any hotter than normal. We are always hot and humid. My DH is suffering in NE while visiting his brother. His bro lives in a tiny 1 bedroom trailer with only a window AC. Before he left here my DH decided to stay at the Holiday Inn. Well, his brother is staying there with him. They go out to do the things that need to be done but pretty much stay in the hotel.
Tomorrow, I leave for my trip to VA, NY, back to VA and home on the 30th with our grandson. Apparently the grandson hasn't learned anything academically or in life. He told his parents he had a 95 and a 92 in the 2 classes he is taking. His parents got his grades yesterday. He has a B in one and a C in the other. At home he never turned in homework but always aced the tests. Well, from the transcripts it looks like he was getting good grades on his daily work, but his final exams were a D and an F. And he asked me to leave his iPhone with him when I see him tomorrow. He says he'll hide it so no one will know. I think he is still trying to convince his parents NOT to send him to the Military Academy in SC for school next year. This is NOT the way to change their minds!! Besides it is a done deal!
I am packed and ready to roll. Not sure if DIL is going with me. She was waffling about it because her co worker was waiting to have her baby and the DIL was on call til her parents could drive down from Maryland. Her hubby is in Afghanistan. But the baby was born yesterday and the parents are here. So DIL may decide to go along.
Please, please, please, everyone stay safe in this heat!! Heat exhaustion can creep up on you. Stay hydrated and stay in if you can.
Have a fantabulous day!

Good morning Sam from Florida and OFF family to post later.

Whhhoooooooooo....I've even been exercising in this hot humid muggy heat in my pool at home. Jogged in the pool along with situps, jumping jacks, squats and working my arms. Today coming to work I had to keep my wipers on with the air on and then heat outside, my windows here at work are all fogged up and rainy looking on the outside...heat...UGH...and I told myself after the cold winter I wouldn't complain about the hot weather! LOL

So I'm sipping on my water right now and taking my morning vitamins. Boring routine stuff but shortly I'll be out of my office and running around this place.

Nothing new with me so I'll sign off...stay cool out there! Hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbie

It's hot in PA too, with more to come later this week. We are supposed to hit 100 Wed. or Thurs.

Just a work day for me. Yesterday I was doing some puttering/cleanup/unpacking and somehow ended up with some lower back pain. I've iced it, heated it, and generally taken it easy but I think I need to get a good massage to see how that may work. Not sure I can get in today but....worth a try.

As we look at such hot weather this week I have tried to scope out a few meals that will (1) be cool and easy and (2) will still let Mike know I am home. Might try a crock pot carnitas recipe - he LOVES anything with a hint of Mexican.

Enjoy your day everyone!

I crock alot.....but I have to put the crock pot outside to do it's thing. I find that if I smell it cooking all day, can't eat it. Of course that never worked when I was MO, but after WLS smell is a huge eating deterrent.

Oh the smell issue is a huge one to me too, but so far the crock pot is okay. I don't use it a lot.

Biggest thing to me is how a restaurant smells. It can turn me OFF in a heartbeat.

Hi Sam and all my OFF friends,

Yesterday I went for my lab work. They tried 5 times but couldn't get enough blood for all the tests. I will need to go back to get the rest drawn. I couldn't believe how many tubes they need.

Today is phone call day. I did a few yesterday, but it seems I always put off calling doctors, etc. I also need to go into Tucson to drop off some paper work. Other than that it is pretty boring around here.

Have a most enjoyable day.     Mag
