We stopped at WalMart on way home from Mass. Why is it that hubby's don't really listen? I mentioned that I wanted to get a lounge chair large pad for the couch to add height and help keep stains off the original surface. I know that the store had 3 section blue pads and lovely printed ones. While I was getting groceries, hubby went into outdoor area and got a black stripe short 2 section pad. NOT AT ALL WHAT I WANTED. The pad is ugly. He purchased it along with some other things and then went to find me. Didn't know about the pad until we got back to truck. Bit my tongue he was SO pleased with what he got. He also got an alarm clock, since we have many early morning app coming up. Of coarse we get up @ 5:30 or 6 naturally, but I guess he wanted a clock. The one he got runs on a battery, has a light, but the alarm is soooo soft you can't hear it. Again I want to brain him, but won't. Enough of me being *****y!!
Should not come home from church in such an ugly mood. I am ashamed of me.

Aww, heck, Monica!  He's just a man being a man.  Mine would do the same thing.  Only unlike you, I would say something and prolly start a fight.  Mine doesn't take "corrections" too well!!!  LOL!

Hi Monica and my OFF family:

Just got off Skype call with my brother and mom; watching the White Sox and Tigers game (of course, rooting for the Sox; sorry, my Tiger fan friends). My brother Gary is still job hunting, not finding.

Work last night was extremely busy; should have gotten in earlier. Hardly had time to pee. I did get done nearly on time. Amazingly! But boy, was I tired.

I am interested in what will happen with the Women's World Cup soccer championship; I'll check it out but probably won'****ch the whole game. Go U.S. women!

Well, not much else happening here. Juliette is already napping. I need coffee. Have a good day.

A local girl,Hope Solo, is on the team. She gave herself some pretty bad press a couple of years ago, but is a really talented lady.

Monica and all,

It's a lazy day at our house. Ellen went out for breakfast with a friend, I stayed home was a good girl. Taking in lots of water already because I don't want to dehydrate today.

Just wanted to say Hi. Hope everyone has a lovely day.    Mag

Good Morning Monica!
I hear you with the husband thing. I think I have mine trained partly- he would be "afraid" to buy a cushion without my OK... he knows that anything that relates to "decor" is my strength and much more important to me than it is to him. But the downside to that training is that he leaves all of that to me...a blessing and a curse.
Yesterday we stopped to see Mom on the way to the funeral. She was happy, engaged, and lucid- It made me so elated to see her that way. I can't count on it- it can be fleeting. I'm leaving in a few minutes to see her- I try to feed her lunch when I go... she will eat more with me there.
That's it for today.Mom still takes up most of my days... but her time is limited. I don't mind.

I can relate to non-trainable husbands!!! PerturbedThere was an article about a woman who chose going on strike as opposed to a divorce. She quit doing anything in the house, the husband relented and took over 1/2 the house chores. Must have been a fairy tale.

Marcy came to visit at the perfect time. (any visit is the perfect time) Tom wasn't feeling too good and was a super grump. We sat out under the trees while Baxter ate the lawn, barked at Marcy's car and tired himself out. Tom was asleep when I went inside but he moaned and groaned in his sleep most of the night.

Annie Black Catis getting back into her grove. As I put away groceries she helped by knocking items out of the bags, opened the dishcloth drawer and emptied it on the floor, then tore open the paper towels.

I am going to sit and read. Too hot to be outside and the gym has no appeal today.

Kisses

Sunshine Your feelings are perfectly NORMAL. Don't be surprised if you go through a gazillion different emotions, all within 5 minutes.

Breathe. You will be fine.

Good afternoon, my OFF sistas!

So, here I am at Hilltop again.  Had an easy trip down from Waco this morning.  Oh, I love it here.  I've spent enough time here now that this house feels like home to me and the pups.

Today is my youngest daughter's birthday.  She's 27 today.  Same age as I was when I had her.  Going into San Antonio this evening for her celebration.  We're going to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner.  Never been there.  Think I'll google the menu before I leave so I can be prepared.

Handling my food pretty well this trip.  Trying hard not to overindulge, but I've been eating out for the past two days and I feel stuffed all the time.  Tomorrow and next week should be better since I'll be back to my routine and cooking for myself again.

Can't wait to see my little Benny again this evening!  My sweet poor DH is so jealous.  He wrote me this morning and said that he wished HE was going to see Benny tonight.  I thought that was funny.  Not a word about Christie and her birthday.  Just Benny.  He's one smitten Papaw!

Lots of plans for next week.  Planning to paint one of the guest bedrooms, and perhaps get started on painting our bedroom.  Have to strip some wallpaper in there first.  Grrrrr!  Boy, the lady who lived her before us sure did love her wallpaper.

That's all for today.  Love you all!
