HOT OUTSIDE AND NOW THERE IS A....

I located a lot of my scattered family by starting a FB "Group".  I made the group name my maiden name and put it down as "The Dawson Family"  then I made a statement saying the group was open to any Dawsons or family related to ..I put the names of my great grandparents so it would eliminate a ton of non related Dawsons.  Now I have found entire branches of previously unknown family members and we have shared old pictures and family history.  I also put my maiden name down in parenthesis on my regular facebook page and that has made FB alert me to other people with the same name as possible friends.  It really did work out well for me and as an amature geneologist has helped greatly with our linage.

Beautiful horse you are on!!! Is it yours? If so, you are lucky!!! The one I am on belongs to a friend of mine from Michigan. Been a few years once again that I have been on a horse...:-(

That's Thunder but he is long gone, he had a habit of trying to brush off riders against trees or low branches... he impaled me with a branch in the leg on a long trip and I had to ride 6 hours to get back to the truck.  The worse part was that he tore my new jeans!!!  LOL!

OMG!!!! But glad that you are ok!!! WOW!!! That had to be a long ride back being hurt!!! So do you have other horses now?

No we don't, we retired and do a lot of traveling and not much time to care for horses.  Too much time and money to maintain them properly but we live in horse country so we have many friends and neighbors who have both horses and mules if we want to join them. 

Oh you are so lucky!!!! Wish I knew someone around here that had horses so I could ride! To go to a stable nowadays it costs so much that I feel like I am buying it not renting it for an hour!!!
