Good Friday Morning!
The board sure is quiet this morning. Everyone must be busy today. I know I am. Today is Travel Day for me. Lots to do before I can leave at noon. But I am so looking forward to this visit with my oldest daughter and also with my oldest BFF! Martha Ann and I were best friends all through elementary school, and then my family moved away. We lost touch and just found each other again two years ago on FB. I love FB!
So, i've been watching my hair all summer as it's gotten duller and thinner. I decided it was "aging" me, not that I needed any help with that process! LOL! So I decided to color it yesterday. Holy cow! I wasn't ready for quite this much change! I was always a strawberry blonde, so I picked a color called "Light Reddish Blonde". Sounds right, huh? Ladies, I am now a RED HEAD. My daughters are going to fall all over themselves laughing at me because THEY are real red heads. They're going to think I'm trying to copy them. All I really wanted was just a more youthful look, you know? Oh, well. Hair grows.
So glad to see Trish back on-line today. We're all so dependent on our computers nowadays, aren't we? I would go through withdrawal without mine.

Here's some information about weather in the Rockies. July is the warmest month, but August isn't that much cooler. Today it is 17C in Jasper and 18 in Banff and the overnight temp. is 7 and 8C.
Seventeen Celsius is around 70 degrees Fahrenheit, so I tend to think of anything near 20 C as being comfortable. Seven degrees is around 45F. The temperature appears to hover near 20C during the daytime (give or take depending on where you are in the Rockies) and 7-8 at night. The suggestion is to dress in layers so that you can add or subtract clothing as the day gets warmer or cooler. Always bring a spare jacket in summer, even if it seems impossibly hot, but I don't think that a coat is necessary. You will be surprised at how cool it can get when you’re up high in the mountains.

Well good after Vicki & all. I think I am done with cherries!!! I got 21 pints canned,& 3 gallon size freezer bags. Also 3 qts. canned. I love doing this, & I love having the life so I am able to.
Today I finally cleaned my house, even steamed my floors. I don't remember the last time I did this. Yesterday was laundry, 5 loads, now mind you I have a huge front loader so this was a lot. I am so ready for the cabin!!!
Vicki, have a great & safe trip. Connie I think about you a lot & pray things work out for you at home. I hope your family realizes what you are doing for them. I know when my daughter comes up here, she reverts back to a 12 year old! I don't think she even knows she does it. If I lived with her I would have to tell her. Laureen I agree, we need a new picture of Vicki!
