Grammylew, I live about 30 minutes from Harrisburg! I imagine you are taking I 81 all the way. The Harrisburg area would be a good stop for you because you get unto some long stretches of "not much" between Harrisburg and Scranton.

I would love to meet if you like- there is a Cracker Barrel just off 81 if you would like to plan a stop! Just message me with your time frame as you know it! I could swing something in the afternoon on Wed. if it works for you!

Well, I leave here Wed morning the 20th. Spending the night in Woodstock, VA and seeing my grandson. Heading north from there on Thursday morning. Have to be in Sidney by 4 PM to see Aunts and Uncles, spending the night there on the 21st. I head back down from NY on the Friday the 29th. So I will be going by Harrisburg on the 21st and the 29th.
It seems there is someone from OFF everywhere. I'd love to meet each of you if I am near you. Or if you are down this way, stop in.

The 21st is out for me because of work. But...the 29th holds some promise! Once you know your time schedule for your return, let me know!

Good Morning Carla, Debbie, Pat, Vickie, Grammylew, Judy and anyone else. . .

I'm sorry to read about your job cutback, you know Carla, I can see you as a coffee barrister, you certainly are a very sociable gal and Starbucks is not a bad place to work, they even give their part timers benefits, but whatever, wherever, anyone would be good to hire you. . .

Judy, good for you getting a raise that made you feel valued for all your hard work, not an easy job for sure. . .  as for the JERK, there is always one isn't there, best thing to do is ignore him, sooner or later he will get his come uppence. . .

Well here I am, another work day, began my day at 4:30 this morning, quick petting of Roxie, got into my gym clothes and started my day right, then here to work, feeling good, got to bed early last night, so that is a good thing, tonight I am driving to Glenmoore, PA to meet up with my oldest daughter, as she is up there working for the week, so I'm driving up, it's about an hour and some from my job and we will hang out and I will spend the night and leave from there to go to work tomorrow, as Wednesday is an off day from the gym.

Well that's it from me, hope you all stay cool, as I think this heatwave is affecting a good many of us. . .prayers and good thoughts going out to any facing life challenges.

Hugs, Laureen

Hi Carla and All Off Friends,

       Carla,
Sorry about your cut back at work. It's happening all over.

       Nan,
Yummmy Fresh cherries. One of my favorites. We took a day trip to go into Michigan just for the wonderful fruit. Family memories.

    Monica,
So happy for you with your sobriety. Those days are adding up. I'm sorry the government is causing you stress. Prayers said for someone to help you get pasted this catch-22.

Judy,   I love raises. It makes you feel good about the job. (for a while at least) That JERK should be tossed out of the apartment complex.

Grammylew,   Please take care of yourself. I know you enjoy all your projects, but down time is good, too.

Debbie,   My SIL has the same disorder. I know it's not easy dealing with the dizziness. I had it from October until June. Finally the ENT did tests. It is an inner ear problem but not the same as yours.

     Vickie,
Take care of yourself out in that horrid heat. I know you will drink plenty of fluids. Don't want you dehydrated.

     Pat,
That cyst removal must be painful.  Here is to healing fast. Will say a prayer. How big was the cyst? Just curious.

I saw the PNP yesterday. He is happy with my progress. Thank the Lord he didn't make any more changes to my medications. He is letting me go back to every other week. Weekly was stretching my already tight budget. My sis, Ellen, offered to help out, but I said that she has done so much for me and I need to be responsible for these costs.

Weather is perfect to go to the pool. A little humid for AZ. We complain when it gets to 50%. I know, we are spoiled. The temp has been cool for this time of year. June was miserable. July has had a break now and them. We are getting much needed rain. I love the monsoon season.
Everyone be good to yourself today.    Mag

Mag - The Dr. showed it to me after he had it "dug" out -- it was a bit bigger than a normal sized marble!   Yuck!

I did learn where these cysts come from -- it is a hair follicle that gets plugged, then the body goes into fix it mode, and fills the area with fluid -- a lot of times, the cyst will break open and drain. Mine got a black spot on it, but never drained.  The problem with them is they get deeper and deeper and harder to take out, the longer you let it go.  Mine was right in the middle of my back -- hard to see and even harder to get to....have to rely on friends to help me with replacing bandage.

Thanks,
Pat R.

Yeah, Pat, I get them on my scalp. I had one that was about the size of a quarter and about a half inch high in 2005. It took two PAs and the dermatologist to lance. It was really ugly and full of puss. I had a bald spot in the center of scalp for a couple of weeks. The only good thing was it gave me an excuse to wear my White Sox cap during the World Series ... it ticked off my editor to no end (he's a Cub fan).

Well, phooey!  I'm having all kinds of mechanical malfunctions!  Got all geared up to go out and mow.  Sunscreen, overalls, big hat--the works.  Get on the big tractor and have a dead battery!  Fine.  Go get the little tractor out of the shed, mow about 30 minutes, and bam, broke a belt.  The hell with it.  I didn't want to mow today anyway!

Just downloaded a new crochet pattern from Annie's Attic this morning for a mobius wrap.  Thought that might be a nice piece to take with me to Canada next month.  Think I just camp out here in the cool AC and crochet today!

LOL...crochet instead...stupid lawn mower belts anyway! We keep extra belts cuz I always seem to break them. Hubby will change my belt and while he is doing that I use his riding lawn mower.
We mow about 8 acres so we need both mowers or maybe one day when I win the lotto (LOL) I'll get a big tractor like yours.
Oh yeah...crochet in the air conditioning today and relax! Make it a YOU day. Hugs Debbie
