hey ya know what it is tuesday!!!!!

 wow it is almost 7am and noone has started out the thread so I did!!!!!
Well the HMMMM hit the fan at work and they cut our hours to almost nothing!!!!! the per diems got hit the most!!!!! I am only working about 10 hours this week and that sucks big time. I guess it is time to go looking again.....
I might go do something fun!!!!! for a job like work in a coffee shop!!!!! Maybe Starbucks!!!!!
It looks like rain today so maybe the ducks will have fun playing in the puddles!!!!!

Good morning Carla and OFF family,
Carla, I'm with you, sitting here on the edge of chair and holding on for the roller coaster ride here at the hospital I work at too. Not going to fall into the paranoia going around, what ever happens is beyond my control so I'm putting it into my "God Bag" today.

Ugh...got dizzy yesterday and I think it was partly thanks to the weather change. Lots of people without power today until Thursday, we had high winds but no tornado's. Gotta clean up my yard after work today but I may just go to the gym first, either way I'll get in some exercise. I'm still a little dizzy today but at least I can move around. Tomorrow will be better.

Please don't play with the dizzy spells and see what is going on if it persists, especially if you are staying hydrated properly and so on. . .

The dizzy spells have been diagnosed. It's Mennier's disease (inner ear). I'm just hoping and praying to go into remission again. I can go for months without having an attack then BAM!
Full onset vertigo and nothing can help it.
Today is much better and I believe the barometer change can set me off too. I watch my salt intake.

Our daughter gets dizzy spells. It is BPPV and she has to have a proceedure done called Dix-Hallpike. I thought she was nuts when she explained it to me. Hanging her head off the edge of a table while the doc vibrates behind her ear. But it works.

Alan Shepard the astronaut has Mennier's disease too. He opted for the surgery because he wanted to go back into space. That will be the last resort I take because one of the pitfalls is you can go deaf. So I just go with the flow and tolerate the attacks when they come. I watch my position changes and this disease can be debilitating if you let it. I won't let it. I just continue on with my life and not let it get me down.

It can be embarrassing when in public when an attack hits. I will sit down at the nearest chair or hold on to the wall. Only people really close to me know that I have this disease and they can tell when I'm "off". So today I'm off, the lights are off and I have a tendency to walk right next to the wall when I have to leave my office. Some people go on disability with this disease. I would go crazy if I couldn't work, so I just stay positive and keep on moving and a grooving!

Hi Dear Connie....I tell ya if I didn't have my wild crazy attitude that keeps me going I would probably just curl up into a black hole and that just ain't me sister! I'll go down fighting every time and take that wild roller coaster ride always!! When my ride comes to an end on this earth I figure I'm going to be having a blast in heaven too!!!!!

Yes ladies...let's all just keep on trucking...I figure we better get several great big semi's and all ride together...some of our travels are different than others but in the end our goal is all the same isn't it??? To be happy and healthy.

Good morning Carla & Debbie, & all. Well got my cherries canned yesterday. Have to pick more today, to freeze.

My green beans are almost ready to pick, yummm.
Debbie we didn't get the storms. I know they got them in Grand Rapids, my sil had to work late.

Next week we are staying at a cottege near Grayling. Two of my kids & 7 grands will be there too. Thank goodness we are close enough to home to escape, if we feel the need! My sil has a boat so maybe we can teach a few of the grands to water ski.

Morning Carla and all to come. Sober 253 days and so proud of me.
Carla sorry hospital is making cuts. This economy does suck for so many. I know I couldn't work in retail...had too many years "trying" to please the shopping public when we had the family grocery store. I always loved helping patients though. Different functions I guess.
So today when I make my calls to WH and Congressional staff in Washington, adding the light bulb issue to my list. Hoping the House repeals that crazy light bulb bill making Americans buy and use those horrid mercury filled bulbs and just letting us make up our own minds. Thank God we can still buy the toilet tissue we want...or is that next?
Going to VA for hubby to have abdominal x-rays to see if he has a aneurysm. Ha Ha, that is scary. Seems if you are older and smoke you could have this issue.
Gonna stop at SS too. The office is next to VA building. Hoping the official letter received with my SS check helps with getting replacement card. Finger, toes crossed and prayers please.
Very hot & humid here, but also as hot in MA.
