Friday is here, what is up

Post Script:  I am one tired grandma!  I made 30 little monkey cupcakes and a little lion birthday cake, a huge fruit bowl, carved the watermelon, made the strawberry lemonade, and re-prepped the store-bought veggie tray.  I'm trying to clean up the mess in my kitchen so that now I can cook supper!  Had half a beer and I'm a little buzzed from it.  My first drink of alcohol since surgery has made me very sleepy! 

Youngest daughter, Christie, is a major flake out when it comes to helping me with all of this.  She was supposed to come at noon and help with all the food prep.  Showed up around 4 p.m. and left before 7 p.m.  Typical of her.  It's her baby's party, but I'm the one throwing it.

I've still got to decorate for the party, but that will have to happen tomorrow morning.  If I get through supper and the dishes, that will be it for me today!

On the plus side, our oldest daughter is here and looks so good.  She's so happy now.  It's wonderful to have her here for the weekend.

I'll post pictures of the party and cakes as soon as I can.  It's going to be fun!
