Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms and Special Ladies out there,
I am having the best Mothers Day in Michigan with my daughter's family.  Isabel had her dance recital last night, and it was too cute.  Then, we all went to Outback for dinner.  My son-in-law's parent joined us, so it was a special Mothers Day dinner for all of us.

Today is take it easy.  I did not sleep well last night, because my cortisone shot in my hip wore off, and the pain came back with a vengeance.

Have a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day to all.

I am so grateful for my WLS.  This was brought home to me again yesterday as I was on the floor playing trucks with my 4 year old grandson.  Putting the little men in the vehicles and rolling them all around.  Life is good

Happy Mother's Day to all!  We are taking my mom out to a late lunch today.  She loves Cheddars, so that's where we're going.  She was concerned about me being able to eat out, but I should have no problem finding something on their menu.  I know they have grilled fish.  I want to give her a gift, but she's downsized twice now, and is adamant about not collecting more "junk"!  Okay, then.  We'll just go out to eat.

Both of my daughters live out of town, so I won't get to see them today.  But that's okay.  We were all together just a week ago.  And I'll get to go see them both later this month.  It's all good.

So, for those of you *****ad my post last night, I survived the cake incident and feel back to normal today.  I got on the scale and for my efforts, I'm down a half a pound today from yesterday.  A small victory, but I'll take it!

My passport came in the mail yesterday.  Hurray!  Now I can go on our vacation to the Canadian Rockies in June.  I don't know what I will wear!  I can't buy clothes yet, because I don't know what size I will be next month.  I know I will need new pants.  I think I have plenty of size XL  and L sweaters and tops.  I'm in 1X right now, so those things are still a bit too tight, but I'm hopeful I can wear some of them by June.

Good motivation for me to walk on my treadmill every day--yes?  YES!

I hope everyone can enjoy some time today with either their moms, their offspring, or both!

Wishing you had the Sarasota 17th St Goodwill store. FABULOUS clothes, tiny prices, huge selections. Finding great buy, that you can get now and then as you continue to shrink, you give them back for others to enjoy. Helping those in need again and again.

OMG, I wish I could shop there, too!  But the Goodwill store here reflects the population here.  Not too many fabulous finds in our store.  I might go to the Women's Shelter store and poke around a bit.  They get a little bit higher class of merchandise.  And we have a couple of resale shops.   But the problem is that I'm so tall.  I can rarely buy pants off the rack that are long enough.  I almost always have to special order my pants through the catalogs.  Being 5'10" has its advantages and its disadvantages, you know?

Happy Mothers Day to you ALL.
Sober 186 days and so proud of me. Not doing so great this AM. Up since before 5, dizzy, dizzy, and dizzy. Won't make the 9:30 Mass.
Lots of sunshine, lovebugs population going down daily. Missing my children and Gkids, but I am very happy to be here instead of up North. Many friends letting me know how much they regret going "home" to bad weather, rain, and cold temps.
Great pool time yesterday....a favorite live performer singing wonderful mix of oldies. I got to lap dance and boogie in and out of the water.
We had a fun time at Dachshund Weenier Run. Some many "hot dogs" in various colors and sizes. Saw 3 in doggie wheelchairs. Wow they could run. Almost $700 raised for Dacshould rescue. Yoda had a great time. He enjoyed the huge dog park. He played so well with the other dogs. He was a pooped furbaby. We also checked out the Miss Sarasota Softball park a huge softball complex, with 8 diamonds, 4 soccer fields, night lights, senior center, children's center. At 10 on a Saturday, parking lots almost filled, 6 games going on. Really love this area. Learning more about each day.
Hoping my kids call, but doubt it. Already got FB message.
Hugs to all. Peace be with you.
Monica

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day from Connecticut

Woke up to a bright sunny day after going to sleep about 2 a.m.  The surprise party was pretty good, my friend was somewhat surprised, more over who was there than the actual surprise party, as the person who put it all together got seen by Maureen which raised her suspicions, anyway, she had a good time and then I went back to her place where we sat and talked until after 1 and then I left to go back to the Microtel, which is quite decent to stay at. . .

In a short while I will pack up my car and head home, which depending on traffic will take about 3.5 hours, probably see my son sometime later today, he called Thur night to ask about taking me to dinner on Friday night, which was not doable as Tony was coming down, so I'm not sure about today, but I'm reallly not going to care with the day being as beautiful as it is I will enjoy my drive home and be happy to relax with my 4-legged child. . .

Happy Mother's Day!

Laureen

What exciting news that you won the bike, good things come to good people. Please get a helmet for your Gdaughter. I have witnessed non-helmet bike accidents, not nice. WalMart has great selections especially for girlie girls. Our Gson, Alex, finally got his training wheels off last summer at age 7, big step for him. He mastered balance and speed and watching him gave me thrills. Enjoy the day, hugs.
