Without unions and tenure I would probably be pink-slipped... and I'm in the final three to be awarded teacher of the year... be careful what you wish for Monica... the new teachers are not always the best. Teaching is attracting less talent than ever because of the crap that gets dished out... like how you feel about teachers... it hurts. This budget problem is Wall Street's- not ours.

Getting ready to make my daily calls to White House, Congressional staff offices. Letting them know I appreciate their taking my comments...no more $$$ for Pakistan, stop going after CIA federal employees doing the JOB they were hired for, and asking the administration to stay out of a private company's right to open a non-union business anywhere in American they want, better they invest in opening a business in America than going overseas. REALLY. What right does the NBLR have trying to stop Boeing from bringing a new huge plant to S.Carolina. Unheard of in our history. #44 and his staff overstepping his power, does he owe the unions that much for his presidency??? As Gibbs says on NCIS, DUH!!

Good mornin', ya'll.
This morning I woke up with vertigo. I have an RX for meclazine for just such occassions. However, I couldn't get out of bed to get it! My DH is always up well before me and I was waiting to hear him come back to the bathroom. I must have dozed off, I dreamt I had vertigo, woke up relieved it was just a dream til I opened my eyes and tried to roll over! My DH finally came in at 7:00 to see if I was OK!! He got me my pills, I took one lieing down, covered my head back up and told him I'd be up in 20 or 30 min. Just then our DIL stopped by on her way to work and came to the bedroom to check on me. I insisted I would be OK as soon as the med took effect. And now I am. But I sure hate that feeling. Only happens once every few months, thank heaven!
My cousin's son was on the 1977 Championship Legion baseball team that was just inducted into the baseball hall of fame in Cooperstown. There is a book out about the team. Very interesting.
She is the one I just made a Notre Dame blanket and pillow for, for her graduating nephew. They live in IN, needless to say!
My DIL has an appointment with yet another neurologist next week to try to get to the bottom of her bad headaches. Our son also has an appt next week for an MRI on his back. He has already confirmed that he needs another operation on his hand. I tell ya,
these youngin's fall apart once they hit 40!
Stress, bad hair days, loving DH's and continued sobriety, sounds like another normal day on the old OFF!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Morning all!

I had the strangest message on my OH account this morning.  Feels like a scam.  Someone (with very bad English usage) asking for my email so she can send me something.  I think I'll delete it.

Worked SO hard yesterday on setting up everything for our annual POA meeting on Saturday.  Today I have to go to Staples and have copies made of a bunch of things for the meeting tomorrow.  I'll be glad when this meeting is over and done with.  The good news is that I've talked with a lady who would like to be on the Board and would love to take over as treasurer!  Hallelujah!  That would be a God-send to me.  Then I could just continue on as Secretary.  Doing both jobs is a little more of a committment than I'm willing to make.

DH went back to the dentist twice yesterday to get adjustments to his new dentures.  I can tell he's feeling much better today.  The fit is still not perfect, but it's better and not paining him so much.  Maybe he'll feel like kissing me again!!!  LOL!  Hasn't been much kissing going on around here since he had that oral surgery last week, let me tell you!

Think we will go down to our nearby lakehouse to spend tonight, so that I will be there all day tomorrow for the annual meeting.  I need to go around to some of my neighbors and see if they will assign me their proxy votes.  Most of them won't go to the meeting--lots of apathy in that neighborhood.  But we still have to have enough votes to take care of business each year.  Guess I'd better go round some of them up!

Blessings on this happy Friday to all!

Morning Margo and OFF family!

Well Bandit is doing much better today but hates me putting that plastic covering on his foot!!! Well its going to be raining again so he HAS to have it on so it doesn't get wet!! It comes off on saturday but it will still have to be kept covered so it doesn't get into the quick where the nail came off and inflame that. SIGHS.

The cops were in the complex last night because of some big dogs that people were letting them roam loose instead of on a leash and our neighbor called them because her dog was almost attacked again!!! I do not blame her at all!!! Anyhow while they were here we went and asked them what should be done about the situation going on at Rick's mom's. Cops told us that his daughter is 20 years old and SHE has to make the call. She is no longer a minor so its up to her now to do it. Also they said she should find a different place to live where its safe. So that is it. Out of our hands. We can't do anything at all. We even told them she had her 3 year old son there. He said to tell her to find a safer place to live. End of conversation.

Working today 1-9. Toe is hurting again. Called foot dr yesterday go see him again thursday morning at 930. Thinking he will cut the tendon a bit more and see if that helps it. I am sure it will. Just hope I don't have to be off work for 2 days because I can't do it!

Kentucky Derby saturday I see there is a horse owned from a couple here in Willoughby Hills Ohio. Mucho Macho Man I believe his name is. Last I saw he was 12-1 odds. The couple just got married there on wednesday. Would be nice if their horse won. I wish them luck!

Nothing else happening so I am going to get out of here and get ready for work I guess. Thoughts and Prayers going out for those that need them.

HUGS

Hi Margo and my OFF family:

Not much going on here ... it's already 2 p.m. and I'm just getting around to getting on here. Went out yesterday to my favorite Mexican restaurant for Cinco de Mayo and just finished up the meal from last night. So good and so full! I can always figure on at least two meals from Pueblo Viejo, if not more.

Then I came home and finished laundry, napped, watched TV ... now it's back to work. I already know that next week I'm working six days, with a day off on Wednesday ... well, the money will be nice.

Anyway, not a whole lot more to say. Have a good one.
