 Well,
Since Osama Bin laden is Dead!!!!! maybe we will see plane fares go down and gas prices go down and then we will be able to run our cars!!!!!
Life today is going to be the usual, Work work work, I work today at 3, massage on my shoulder at 115 then work.
I only work 2 days this week then the weekend.
I am on a countdown till I go to Chicago on the 19th for four days.
My sister is having her pacemaker replaced today. I guess she isnt the energizer bunney like she says she is. Her pacemaker was supposed to last her 10 years and it only lasted 5. She was on some trial for this company and the pacemaker failed so she is getting a new one.
Well post on folks. Im gearing up for some lab work today.

Good Morning Carla and OFF Family,
I am up early, and exhausted.  I stayed up to watch the Phillies game.  Between a 1-1 tie, and the news about bin Laden, I was too keyed up to sleep.  Now, I am too keyed up to get back to bed, so I am heading out to drop my dog off at the kennel and then get on the PA turnpike.  I am spending tonight in Pittsburgh, where I will get to see my Baby Boy, who lives there.  I have not seen him since Christmas.

Tomorrow, I complete my trip to Michigan, where I will spend 8 days in Grandma Heaven.  Saturday is my 3 year old granddaughter's dance recital.  Sunday is Mothers Day with my daughter and her Munchkins.  What more could I ask for.

I am truly blessed.  My older son took me to the Phillies game on Saturday.  Today, I get to see my Baby Boy.  Then over a week with my grandchildren..  God is so good.

Have a great day;

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Carla and OFF family, Happy Monday!

Well the Bariatric Reunion on Saturday was fun, mostly b/c I checked people in and made the rounds talking to people. Most I've never met. Some oldies were there, mostly from my Support Group.

One guy came in his tux he wore to his wedding 44 years ago. What an energizer bunny he was! I love watching people strut their stuff! The energy of the newbies is contagious...and most of them were under one year out or just past their first year post op. I enjoy working at these reunions, I gotta walk around and say howdy to everyone and filled out their certificates in calligraphy for losing 100 pounds. It was fun!

So this Saturday is our monthly support group, passed the word on to the people that I don't see to come to our group. Yeah...I'm with you Carla on hoping the gas prices go down now that Bin laden is dead. We will see! Hugs and prayers for all in need...and don't we all enjoy hugs! Debbie

Is this pacemaker thing happening with the Evil sister or the Good sister?
Hope the massage helps your continued pain. Make them tape you up better!!!

Sober for 180 days. So proud of me. Grateful for the death of the monster. Proud of CIA and military and Enhanced Interrogation techniques. Grateful that President Obama stood strong as our Commander in Chief and gave the decisive order. Closure for so many Americans.....numbers we will never know since the monster cast such a MASSIVE net of pain and destruction. We will call our congressional member and the White House today, demanding that not ONE penny of OUR money ever gets sent to the government of Pakistan. The corruption of the nation's leadership is so evident with the news about how the monster has been allowed to live these past 3 years. Aid to the people of Pakistan when a natural disaster strike, yes, filtered to them via international organizations, but NOT MORE MONEY......NO MORE BILLIONS SENT TO PAKISTAN. Make our voices heard. These BILLIONS should be added to the pay grades of the regular GI's.
Watching the news coverage, flags out, signs made and up, prayers offered. Up almost all nigh****ching what had happened and what was happening across our country with spontaneous demonstration of joy. Watching the young men and women in Washington DC and NYC made my heart sing with pride again for America. Most of these young college and non-college aged men and women have had their lives impacted at young ages....they are so genuinely proud. I am reminded of the pictures that Germany and Japan surrendered and WWII was ended. So grateful non of our soldiers were hurt.
Peace be with you all. I am at peace with the monster passing.....I hope his 27 virgins spurn him at the gates of hell.

180 days!  That is six months.  God bless you.  Keep your strength in him and you will not fail.

Just finished reading Josh Hamilton's book about his battle with booze and drugs.  Excellent message.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Just call me "Queen Karen!" At least I think on OFF I can claim the title of "most free tickets to fly!"  I am still in St. Louis. . .Took a voluntary bump. . . $400.00 voucher, $24.00 for meals, and a night at the Crown Plaza! NICE hotel. . . much nicer than the cheap ones I usually stay in to save money. King size bed and room even a little "sleep package" with eye patch, relaxation oil" (too bad no cabana boy to assist in the relaxation!) Anyhow, just had  a nice breakfast, don't have to check out til 1pm. Will probably head out  to a nearby mall, free shuttle for a couple of hours. Back to the airport for the 6:10pm flight to Seattle and then the small plane to Kennewick. Won't arrive til about 11:30pm but flight is not full so may have a bit of extra room.

Had a great week with my family in St. Louis and Springfield. I had intended to surprise my Aunt Alene (almost 90) by sitting next to her in church on Easter. Since I arrived a day late I did that yesterday. My cousin dropped me off, I attended church with her then went home with her for a few hours of just us time. It was nice to be with her as my mom, her sister, passed away on April 24 and my brother that I never knew, Mom's firstborn, died on May 2nd, today. We shared lots of memories. She's a great lady and it was a memory maker for me for sure.

I need to check dates when we get home. Wondering if we buried Mom on the day Max Ray was buried. It had to have been close. He died May 2, 1938, and back then they were buried within a couple of days. Can't remember the date of Mom's burial.

I imagine security will be tighter than usual today. Hope no crazies out there (and there are plenty) decide to make a point. There was a "nun" in front of me yesterday who was pulled aside for a private screening. I had never seen a habit like she was wearing so wonder if there was something else going on. . . .

I am so non-confrontational. I support our troops but just wish so much that all of the war wasn't necessary. Nothing will bring back all of those lost lives on all sides and I feel for those poor families who have never known anything but war. On the other hand, I know that freedom is NOT free and if we don't protect ourselves we would be in the same position as those families but still. . . . I don't feel elation. A bit of closure but still sad.
