Anyway her birthday was yesterday and It was a bittersweet day for me. So I was out and about playing with the kids, went to the parade our town had and just hung out.
I have now lost 32 pounds and now am at 140 again. So when I go to

Morning all. Sober 179 days and so proud of me. Happy May Day....hubby just danced around the Pole in his life.....ME.
Carla Glad you are enjoying your time off. Your new FB photo is beautiful, love that blouse you have on. Enjoy your nap.
Lots of activity in RV park yesterday, open house for summer camp, volunteer group parties...Big Brother/Sisters Comcast celebration. Wow I sure wish I had water pistols; like today when I was a kid. Some could and did shoot across our HUGE pool. Hope that the sunburns gotten are not too painful today. So many smiles on so many faces, seeing was believing in fun. We hot tubbed and listened to the DJ. I requested ZZ Tops and Van Halin and the place was rocking, the DJ played various songs from both groups for almost an hour. Watching baby's in mothers arms dancing and hand clapping and little ones dancing away....this 63yr old rocking too...bikini clad with cane in hand.
Watched coverage of Pope John Paul's journey to Catholic sainthood. So appropriate for this Polish hero of mankind on May 1st.
Hope all are well and wishing you grace and peace with the hardships you are facing. Monica

Good mornin' Carla and the rest to come.
I can understand your sadness, Carla. My Mom's birthday and Mother's Day are hard. Just like my Dad's birthday and Father's Day.
This morning I awoke with a new determination! I had it in my head that if I was NOT losing weight it meant my cancer was still in remission. Because, I didn't realize it at the time, but when I began losing unexpectedly, my gallbladder cancer was growing! Sooooooo, beginning today I am going to start over. I am going to do the 2 week pre-surgery liquid diet, that will bring me up to the time for my colonoscopy. After that I will begin the fill process again. Just coming here will help, I know. Sometimes we don't talk alot about our weight struggles, or milestones. But I know everyone of you has been through the whole WLS process, or are waiting for it to happen!
Our son and DIL finally have their house back together. After 3 months they now have an entire new kitchen from tile floors to new cabinets, they got new wood (bamboo) floors in the dining room, living room, and hall. It is beautiful. Kim has been buying accesories for months getting ready to put it all back inside. They had 2 beautiful antique pieces in our shed ( a pie safe, and a buffet) that are now in their dining room. My back is a little sore this morning from helping them. Oh, and we have had their 3 dogs since Wed. They are good dogs, but I am glad to have them gone.
Did my hour on my treadmill, getting ready to take my shower, then later my DH and I will be off to the commissary.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Wow you are brave, I learned 5 yrs ago NOT to commissary on the first of the month. The lines are just too much at check out. Once I spent over an hour in line to be checked out. Good luck.
Your new determination is so you. Hey women you just had hip replacement, a bad fill experience and a remarkable recovery. I am always letting hubby know about your daily progress. Hoping it helps him believe he can recover again if he does need a new artifical hip replacement. We will be proactive in seeking help from VA this week, making the decision to go to local OPC where we were told by that A**hole to go for flu shot at Walgreen instead of making him register hubby JUST FOR THAT, doing his job NOT. The patient advocate followed through and was kind.
Not cooking bisquits and gravy this morning for your family....sorry for them. Good day wonder women.

Payday was Friday since the first was Sunday. It was pretty empty. Oh, how the govt. wants us to jump through hoops. We are pretty much at their mercy!

We got paid Friday too and did all our crazy errands. I SOOO enjoyed the quite of the 4 stores we visited. I am getting crafty in my senior years. Go online for weekly circulars of 4 stores, all across from each other. Make a list and gather coupons. I adhere (almost) to my lists, divided into which stores I buy what. So we make a loop for a total of 7 miles shopping trip. I know we spend $$$$, but we save $$$$$ with this. Hubby just smiles, I beam. Saved so much at CVS, the knee brace was actually free. Like what the brace does for knee.

Good morning Carla and my OFF friends. Carla, I understand how you feel about your mom, I lost my dad when I was quite young, and I miss him every day still.

Yesterday was the 1/2 marathon in Nashville. Everyone finished with style, and I'm so very, very proud! At the finish line, Jeff came up to me, put his sweaty arms around me and sobbed. He was so proud of himself for finishing. It was a sweet moment.

Ok...off to shower and get back in the car to head home. Very heavy rains along the way, not looking forward to that!
You all take care!

Happy May Day Carla and OFF Family,
My day did not go as planned.  I fell asleep in my rocking chair around 8:00 this morning and did not wake up in time for church.  Argh!.  I hate missing worship.

I had an awesome early Mothers Day present yesterday.  My older son drove down from New York to take me to a Phillies game.  We were under the impression that the weather was supposed to be 70 degrees, so we did not have jackets.  Well, our seats were in the shade, and the wind was blowing, and it was like 58 degrees.  We ended up going to the clothing merchandise store and each bought a sweatshirt.  The place was a zoo with everyone else buying sweatshirts too.  You would have thought it was Christmas Eve.

Then, last night, I texted him to make sure he got home safely, because we were both exhausted after the day in the cold, and to thank him for a fun day, and he thanked me for being his Mom.  I just cried when I read that.  What a gift.

I started packing for my trip to Michigan.  I probably packed too many clothes, but I will be gone for ten days this trip.  I am stopping in Pittsburgh on the way, to see my youngest.  Then, it is eight days with the Munchkins, and another stop in Pittsburgh on the way home.

This afternoon, I am heading to my AA meeting.  Then, tonight, I am watching the Phillies game.

Sorry to babble.

Have a great Sunday.

Hugs,
Trish

Wasn't it great to go into the clothing store and not have to hunt for something, ANYthing, that would fit?  I remember that being a real blue ribbon day for me!
