WHAT'S NEW THURSDAY???

The sun is finally shining in Nebraska. We had rain and hail last night. I heard on the radio about Alabama getting hammered with tornadoes. I can't even imagine how they are dealing with this. Did anyone see the article on Kaitlyn Van Sant? She is the gal who had a lap band that is an actress on a soap opera. She looks great. The producers made a story of her weight loss journey on the soap. Have a great week. Mona

Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!
Good Morning Judy,
I had a rough night. My sister threw a fit because I changed my plans for Saturday. I was supposed to help her with something for Special Olympics, and did not realize she had no other help till I cancelled, and she is angry and hostile. She does not handle anger well, and is being very hurtful. I got her back-up help, and am waiting for my therapist to call me to help me sort out my thinking.
Today was medical help day for me. Lab work and X-rays are done. I am waiting for my lab results, as it is my PT-INR for my coumadin levels. I have a dentist appointment to get my stitches out from my two teeth being pulled last week. Then, this evening, I am supposed to go to Bible study, but may back out depending on if I hear from my therapist this morning, or not.
I am sober one year, three months and two weeks now. God is good. I don't want to drink today.

Trish and Monica, I am in awe of your strength and courage. It is hard enough dealing with the food obsession without alcohol as well. Congratulations to both of you for your accomplishments. IMHO, your sister may be so used to the people pleasing, helpful sister who now is finally taking care of herself that she is not used to this healthier you.
I am sending out prayers to all of you who are dealing with this horrendous weather. I cannot remember hearing about so many fatalities in one group of storms.
Just another day at work for me today and then more grief volunteering tonight. Tonight I do the parents group, very enriching work, but when I do the kids group, I get to play Foosball and Air Hockey so it's not quite so heavy.

Not much going on here ... we didn't have any more storms yesterday, but there were high winds when I got out of the theater yesterday afternoon, just about blew off the car door. I had some running to do after the movie ("The Conspirator" about the Lincoln assassination and the aftermath, the woman who was charged in the "conspiracy" ... very good movie), including picking up prescriptions ... one of the things for the scalp crud wasn't available at CVS and they called around for it, but their modems weren't working at first, so I grabbed a sandwich at Quizno's and went home Phone rang and the caller ID said "Fred's Disco" ... what the hell? Well, it was the other pharmacy ... Fred's Discount Pharmacy ... caller ID doesn't get the whole name on there. Kinda funny.
My cleaning fairy was supposed to come today but I slept late and she wasn't here so I called her about 11 a.m. and asked where she was. She is cleaning up after the storms ... her area had more damage than mine. So anyway, she couldn't come today and will come next week. No problem.
Anyway, back to work today after 9 days off ... it's going to be tough getting back into work mode.

I know what you are saying about not seeing the whole name. Today, I was driving into work. When I listen to the MLB channel, the display shows the current guest they are talking to, and who he is.
