Morning all. Sober 175 days and so proud of me.
Watching the news is sobering too. The storms across the south into the northerna areas have been horrific. Prayers to our fellow Americans living through this PTSD causing event.
Slept well. Right leg getting heat on it now. Muscle sore but not swollen. Not anything on our plate today, just sunning and hot tubbing and relaxing at poolside. Jope we have some killer cribbage games and good hunting Yoda walks. Happy I am.
Carla and I head out to Naples tomorrow to meet Lynn. Look out below.
Enjoy Hump Day, safe passage, and prayers.

Good morning Monica and my OFFer friends.

Well, thankfully the severity of the storms forcasted this morning has been downgraded, so it seems the worst is over. Eleven dead over the last two days. So sad.  I'll be headed off to work a bit early in case I find rough spots to get through.

Thanks to all for their concerns and prayers. It's meant a lot to me, believe me!

Monica, do take care of that leg. It's worrisome!

Good Morning Monica, Susan, and all to follow,

First, I want to say congrats to Monica for 175 days sober.  Keep up the good work.  Take it easy today.  Sounds like the leg needs it.

Susan, I'm so relieved that you're OK.  Your weather down South has me rethinking my brilliant idea of becoming a snowbird.  I know the storms aren't usually in the winter when I'd be down there, but still don't know if I could deal with that down there, and with blizzards up here while I'm gone.  Just sayin'

Yesterday was a very good day.  Helped at the clothing shop in the village in the morning, then on to Mahjongg (for only my second week learning and playing) and won 4 games out of 5.  Had to be beginners' luck, because I had very little idea what I was doing, and the ladies I played with were not the type to let me win just to make me feel good....  It was fun and I'll go back.  If anyone will play with me....  I probably won't win again for the next month....

Then errands.  LOTS of errands!  I think I stopped at 7 or 8 stores, from the hardware store to Big Lots, from grocery store to shoe store (just to browse, you understand...) and was able to find everything on my list.  No shoes.  (Told you I was just browsing!)  I left home at 8:45 am and got back at 8 pm.  Watched the results of Dancing with the Stars and crashed!  Woke at 6 this morning raring to go!

Today I'll put the new battery in the lawnmower, change the oil and the filters and start working in the yard.  It's wet out there, but it's supposed to be fairly warm today, and I imagine I'll find SOMEthing to do.  In between, lots of laundry to do.  It's been piling up.

I've now been back on track with my eating for over 2 weeks.  I feel better.  Now if the scale would just start to show it.

Everyone have a great day.  Spring has sprung!  (OK, maybe I'm dreaming here, but a girl's gotta dream....)

Wow, busy day you had. Get out that measuring tape, so nice to see inches away when scale is stuck.

Good morning all,

We had EIGHT wild turkeys wandering on the front lawn. Black CatAnnie was having hysterics!!! They were magnificent.

Then we ran errands. First stop was for a hair trim. Tom sat in the car and enjoyed the (finally) warm weather. Normally I am in and out in less than 10 minutes. The woman ahead of me had a 4 year old granddaughter with her. The child was a terror. She played with everything on the stand from hair products to clippers. As Shawna was trying to cut granny's hair, the girl stuck her finger up to touch the scissors. Granny just smiled and didn't say a word. I wanted to cuff the kid.

One of the young women in my swim class has applied to the TV program "Heavy". She has made it through several stages and is a hopeful contender. She has RNY about 5 years ago. She expalined that her reason for not losing weight is she that had WLS to make her Mom happy, not herself. Beautiful woman, charming personality but so morbidly obese that she has difficulty walking. I wish her success.

Kisses to all

Happy Hump Day OFF family. Going crazy here at work but am blessed I have a job so I won't complain. Happy Administrative Day to all our hard working Assistants! My boss gave be a beautiful plant and a note on my door, didn't even know it was "my special day"! LOL

Take care and again Monica...so proud of YOU! Hugs Debbie

Good morning everyone!

I am excited about Monica and Carla's journey to Naples tomorrow! Fun to make new OH friends AND new FL friends!

Today is a work day for me - thankful for the technology that lets me handle things from here. Then to work out. And then maybe a pedicure for a little splurge - actually the salon near me is having a special.

Yesterday I was VERY careful with my eating. I had a lunch out on Monday (salad with chicken) and overate. Ohhhh boy. Not good. I didn't want anything else all day - even fluids didn't go down well - so know I didn't make my protein and fluid targets for the day. So yesterday I was "by the book" and will do that again today to be back in the saddle. Even when the RNY life seems to be the "new normal" you just can't  take it for granted. It's NOT the way it used to be! And I have 5 lbs. I need to take off before that 5 becomes 10....have been very diligent in my exercising for the past week and have made a commitment to 90 days of structured exercise - even put it on my calendar.

Wishing you all a healthy and wonderful day!

Good Morning Everyone from St. Louis, MO!

Having a great time here with my cousin. Weather has been calm since my late arrival on Sunday. We're headed to Columbia today to pick up cousin Pat's daughter and grand daughter. Tomorrow we'll head south to Springfield to visit another cousin until Saturday. I return home on Sunday.

Contacted Jan C as I'll be about 70 miles north of her. Don't know if she'll be able to come u*****t. Would love to see her again. We met 5 years ago before she had surgery when I was on a road trip. Wish I had my own car and I'd drive down to see her wonderful gardens and ponds!

Susan, hope you have a basement. If I lived anywhere in this area I'd probably dig one even deeper and burrow down! Of course I live within 10 miles of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation and people wonder how I can live there!

My cousin in Marion, AR, close to Memphis, got a direct lightening hit on their house last Friday. The house is just 5 years old. Fried their wiring and all electronics. She could smell smoke but thankfully nothing caught on fire. Much internal damage to their home but no one hurt.

I am a control freak who still tries to run the universe. Sure haven't done a very good job of controlling the weather! The power of nature is something else when it acts up. Also all  powerful in it's displays of beauty.

I won't have a computer much the next few days unless my cousin's daughter takes a laptop. If she does I'll try to check in.

You all take care and stay safe.

Good mornin' ya'll.
Monica, WooHoo and watch that leg.
Did 1 hour on the treadmill yesterday. Got all of my errands run. For some reason I kept thinking it was Wednesday, and when I went to take the recycles down my DH, said - it's a little early isn't it?
Everyone here for lunch and a nap again. My son's back is sooooo bad. Our DIL is having to put his boots on for him and take them off. He goes to work in the morning, trying to get paper work caught up then comes home to take a pain pill and sleep. His MRI is another 2 weeks away! That will be a month after he blew the back out! The military does things at it's own pace!!
Today is nothing. I didn't get out of bed til 7 AM. About 2 hours later than usual. I feel all weak and shakey like when you don't have enough protein. But I have been getting my protein, and water. So, no treadmill til I am a little more stable. I had half a protein bullet with my hot chocolate this morning, so I should be perky in no time. If it is a protein problem.
We have had the strangest weather. It will be beautiful and sunny, and a little breezy. Then big black storm clouds roll in, we get dumped on and 30 min later we are back to sunny! It did that all day yesterday and looks like it will be that way again today!
Everyone have a fantastic day.
