Hi Julia and everyone,
Awake at 6:00AM. There is something wrong w/ me. I rarely get up early. The last 4 days Have been unusual. Trying to take advantage of the extra hours in the day.
Having company this afternoon so I have plenty of time to straighten things. More work of boxing up clothes I no longer wear. Into the closet I go. Some of my smaller size clothes still have price tags on them. lol
Everyone have a wonderful day.   Mag

Good morning, OFF friends,

Glad for all the good news!  Thanks y'all for sharing.  I am getting excited to get a referral to a surgeon.  My office mate lost some weight when she was taking care of her dying mom and is working hard at not putting it back on.  So, she brought me some lovely jackets to wear after I have lost weight from surgery.  It's back to work for me today.  I have to deal with the aftermath of letting my employee go.  It was the right thing to do, but it is still hard. The weekend was great, stamping, church and a movie.  Now, back to the grind.

Boy I'm telling ya...Those Ritis boys are bad and Arthur is the worse!

Went to PCP on Friday and I have a swollen tendon in my shoulder. Said no lifting, exercise/stretch it out, Edoltolac twice a day for two weeks. If not better have to go back. There's a lump too but he said he thought it was fatty tissue or a cyst...didn't seemed concerned. I am thinking might ******ve getting pinched too as my hand goes numb, hang my arm to my side and the numbness subsides.

Had a great weekend: stamping workshop on Saturday, breakfast served by the guys at the church Sunday morning, hymn sing, Sunday worship service then Easter lunch with my family. Great over all weekend!

Hi Julia

It's hard to believe that a woman the age of Judy's mother can do so well through such a difficult surgery  -  wow, I'm really glad that things went so well.

I love the idea of oatmeal  -  haven't had any in a while and it just might be time.

I will finish marking today!       It's taken me days to mark reports and tests from a bus. communication course.  There are times that I know that I spend more time marking a paper than a student spent writing it.  Most of the time, that's not the case, thankfully.  Anyway, I am tired and happy that a semester is over.  I have two weeks to regroup and prepare for the next round of students who are beginning a spring course in sociology with me  .  It's like the never-ending story and the semesters just go on and on.  LOL

Have a good day and enjoy Jamba Juice and Starbucks.

Margaret

I will vote today in our federal election.  What election, you may ask?  Our Prime Minister called an election a few weeks ago, and we will vote on May 2.  I am voting ahead of time today.  Our elections don't last nearly as long as yours and we are very glad when they are over!

Hi Margaret. I got a craving @ 2 months ago for Oatmeal. It just sounded so good. I can't do well with milk since WLS, but a little in instant Oatmeal works. Also use sugar maple syrup to make my own maple flavored oatmeal instead of buying an already prepared brand. I love the Walmart round container for next to nothing, mix, heat and enjoy. Good food that sticks with you.

Your system of elections is so much smarter than ours. Less $$$ spent, less bull **** promised, less graft, I presume. Call for it, have it, get on with life with who wins, and see if the change works.

Hey Julia and my OFFer friends!

Golly, I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I have been keeping up...promise! Judy, I'm glad you're mom came through her surgery so well, Monica, proud of you more every day, Margo, glad you're doing so well in school, Judy, sounds like you're settling in in your new home.

Lots of new folks....hello to all and welcome!

I'm just home from the plastic surgeons office where he
fixed the dog ear on my right hip. Oh, GOODIE....a four in*****ision with a local. Dang, do I know how to spend a day off, or what? The lidocaine will wear off in about an hour, so I've already popped a percoset and will hit the hay. Maybe I'll sleep through the next rounds of severe storms that are headed our way again.

Well, before I star spelling worse than normally I'm off. Hope you all have a grand day!

Susan

Oh those storms have been horrific. Stay safe. Ice the incision area, keeping the swelling down will be a comfort. I'd send you my big bag of blueberry ice pack, but I am still using it. Oh it helps so.

The right leg is really making progress, but I am pushing the process with ice and heat, menthol, rest, and using the crutches. Bruises are almost gone, swollen this morning but not as bad as it has been. After all the walking and swimming yesterday hubby and I taking it VERY easy today. The leg woke me up at 4:15, by 11 this morning I realized I'd been up 7 hrs and doing stuff. So I took a 2.5 hr nap. Enjoy your nap. Have the Weather channel on....don't like what we see for our north of us neighbors.
