What's New- MONDAY
So happy to see that Judy's Mom is on the mend! It's quite something that they can do major surgery on an almost 90 year old woman and have such success! I'm up late... just took my pain pill so sleep will come soon. It's amazing how fast those pills go into your system.
I'm on Spring vacation so tomorrow will be a putter day. I am gathering cans for recycling and organizing my scrapbook room. I may run to Jamba Juice to get a serving of their stone ground oatmeal- it is to die for. I get the blueberry/blackberry with no brown sugar and I put a few packets of Splenda on it. There is enough for two meals and it's delicious. Jamba JUice is right next to Starbucks so coffee would be nice too.
My meds are kicking in- goodnight/good morning to all!

Easter was quiet, went to church, sang with the choir and we had breakfast at church before services. Bought all the grandchildren clothes instead of candy and toys for Easter. Becca dressed both of her girls up the same, she made the dresses and did a great job. They were so cute.
The weather was nice and hubby and I sat on the deck in the partial sunshine, read a little and soaked up the sun. Birds were singing and it really was a beautiful day.
Judy...so glad you mom is doing well. Hugs and prayers to all. Debbie
Good Morning Julia and Friends,
Arrived safely in St. Louis just 24 hours later than planned. Another reminder of Nature's forces and that even tho I continue to try to be I am really NOT in control of much of anything! I took pictures of the tornado damage to the airport and surrounding areas. Will try to post some when I get a chance.
I got as far as Seattle on Sunday but the St. Louis airport was closed until 9am Sunday. Therefor plans to attend church with my almost 90 yr old aunt and dinner with family did not happen. I'll get to see them all in the next few days. Looks like stormy weather most of the week.
Plans to visit a cousin in Springfield about Thursday and hit some flea markets and antique stores with my cousin Pat. Just a girls' week!
Eileen, I absolutely loved the photo of you and your beautiful little great nephew!
Tho the flight was smooth I'm a bit sore this morning and didn't sleep much. Anxiety and excitement are a not so good combo for this woman who doesn't sleep well anyway. Hopefully it will catch up with me and I'll sleep tonight.
Judy, so happy to hear about your mom. Sending positive recovery thoughts her way.
I'll have a computer here in St. Louis until Wednesday. Then off to Columbia where we will not.
You all have a great Monday. Take care!

We are two pooped senior citizen today, but happy. Nothing really planned. It will be hot & humid here. Big Tstorms early evening here, rain badly needed though. More predicted for today. All the dropped off donated potted plants thriving. Expecting more today as friends leave tomorrow. Lordy where will I put the food. Grateful I have a large double door fridge & freezer in our RV.
Hope Karen and Eileen traveled safe. The band of severe storms across the south into the eastern states looks horrid.
Grateful prayers for Gabbie Gifford and the space shuttle launch scheduled for Friday. Hope the clouds are gone so we can view this special event.
May you all have a great Monday, happy, pain free, no contact with ******** out there or pot holes on our WLS journey.
Monica and the Traveling Bra
Prayers for Judy's Mom. Prayers for Nancy's ordeal with her Mom's arrangments. Happy thoughts for Karen and her visit with her family. Much congratulations for Monica's accomplishment. Glad to see Eileen enjoying her vacation too.
Plumber is coming this morning. The cold water handle in the master bath leaks when you turn it on. Since something may have to be done under the sink we didn't even ask our son to check it out. He would have tried and tweeked his back even more.
I have to finish the chair thingys for DIL's patio chairs. They made an offer on a spot in a campground near the beach. They have a travel trailer they never use and they want to put it there so they will have a get away place. I'm not fond of the beach, myself. When the kids were younger and we lived in HI we used to camp at Bellows. We had 2 small pup tents. One for DH and I, one for the 3 kids. Sand was always in everything!
Supposed to be in the 80's all week. I hope the humidity stays away. I love sitting on my front porch and reading.
Everyone have a fantabulous day.
First, Monica, congrats. I'm so proud of you. Both for your continued sobriety, and your activity. Sounds like you had a great day yesterday.
Looks like another busy week coming up for me. That's good. It keeps me out of the kitchen. Not so busy most weekends, though, and it's more of a struggle. This past weekend I FINALLY finished painting or staining all the wood in the laundry room. It really didn't take me very long once I got started. It just took me many, many months to get started. And it was already more than half done. Inertia is my enemy. This afternoon after my Zumba Gold class I'm coming home and finishing staining the trim around the French Doors. That was installed over a year ago. I finally got the wood filled and sanded, now just one coat of stain. It'll take me about an hour. And I've put THAT off for longer than I care to think about. (Because I didn't want to do the 1/2 hour of sanding that needed to be done.) Then all the supplies can FINALLY go back into the basement. Spring cleaning is just around the corner.
Then maybe more garage time. I spent hours...truly, HOURS... on Saturday sorting nails and screws that my brother-in-law spilled all over the garage floor when he was making my shelves out there. All are now in their own little drawers, with a sample of each item taped to the front of the drawer. When I'm in compulsive mode, I'm REALLY compulsive!!
A few more classes and meetings and volunteer work this week, then an 8 hour class with Red Cross on Saturday to help prepare me for the local disaster relief team. I'll be available for call out in my north county area for fires and floods and other disasters. They do a good job, and I'll be proud to be a part of it.
That's my week. Busy, but a good busy.
Everyone have a great day.

GOOD MORNING OFF Family!!!! :-)
Well it was great sleeping in my own bed last night!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH comfortable!!!!! Still waiting to hear on mom this morning if she will be going home today or tomorrow. Dr says if she can walk alone she can go home. Great!!! Her color is so much better than it was before her surgery and her attitude is so much better everyday that she gets better!!! THANKYOU all again for the prayers and thoughts!!!! (((OFF)))
While in Saginaw and waiting for the visiting hours we went shopping...I found my capri pants that I had been looking for here at home and could not find! Camoflage (sp) and in a junior size 17 to boot!! They are a bit big on me but are 100% cotton so I am hoping they will shrink some when they are washed. But if they don't there is a string I can pull and tie to make them hold tighter at the waist...they didn't have any smaller sizes so I still took them...I also bought a cute top to go with them in the olive green. Not sure if I mentioned that I also found a top with Super Girl on it that I wanted for work when I work on weekends alone...lol. Also bought me a new swimsuit!! OMG!! Its hot pink and not much of it there at all!!! Rick says I am hot in it!!! OMG!!!!!!! Its going to take ALOT for me to go out in public to wear that thing...LOL Its a one piece but its more of a 2 piece with a front piece attaching the top and bottom together. Never had anything like this one before in my life!!! I am sure he will get some photos of me in it before the summer is over with!!! OMG!!!! I need to get a tan before any photos are posted lol!!!!
Had Bandit out this morning for his potty walk and the lawn guy was out cleaning up the branches from the last storm and he mentioned to me that I lost alot of weight!! I said thankyou to him and he said I looked great and to keep up the good work!!! I went back inside and asked Rick if I was that fat before that people are noticing that I lost this weight. He said no. But then I DID gain about 40 pounds back I believe it was and its gone plus 5 extra pounds so far...so yeah people should notice the loss. WOW. :-)
Guess we are in the red for storms today...glad we missed that while traveling to and from Michigan!! Usually we hit the bad weather right around Sandusky and Toledo Ohio areas. Had some sprinkles is all. Wonder what today will bring?
Well I need to get going here and figure out how much money we spent while gone and get my check picked up from work and to the bank and then pay the rent for May, get that out of the way. I also need the rest of my work schedule for the week. I know I go back wednesday at 1. Its going to ba a small check for this week...yikes!!!!!!!!!
Again THANKYOU OFF family for all that you have done for my and my family with your thoughts and prayers!!! Meant so much to me!!! (((OFF)))
Thoughts and Prayers to those that need them!! Have a great day!!!!!
