Morning OFF family!! Where is everyone?? I know there is alot of nasty weather out there from yesterday and still some today....we are having some strong winds right now here but it is sunny and a little on the chilly side. Calling for some rain also.

Went out for dinner last night. Wanted some Perch. First place we went I thought it said Best Perch in Lake County...NOPE. Said Best FISH in Lake County. Left there and went to another place. Had Great Perch there!!! Ate about 2 pieces of that and was full. Disappointed. But I had enough to bring home for another meal for later. :-)

Nothing new on my mom. Just worried about this surgery. Praying every chance I get. My work place is working with me on this leave if I have to be gone long. So that is a good thing. Just hope mom comes through ok and I won't have to be gone to long at all. I know it will be a long recovery for her. Wish I could bring her home with me but I know that isn't possible. Again, Thankyou all for the prayers and thoughts!!!! I don't know what I would do without you all!! (((OFF)))

Working today 1-9 and its a saturday and I will be busy. Yes I will be working alone again as usual! OH! I had the Food Safety test yesterday and I scored 100%!!!! I was told I was the only one that scored 100%!! :-) WOOOHOOOO!!! And some people say I don't know ****!!!! HAHAHAHA  Makes me wonder what their score was!!!???

Well better get going here and get ready for work. Need to sort the laundry for Rick to do today IF he can use the laundry room!Seems we never get to use it when we need to...sighs. Oh well we will get it done before tuesday for sure!!!

Have a good day and know that I am thinking of you all!!!

Hi Judy

Will this rain ever end?  I know that April showers will bring May flowers, but this is ridiculous.  At least it's not cold anymore.

I've planned a bit of shopping today; unfortunately, I seem to do this every Saturday and find myself buying a whole lot of clothes.  Two weeks ago I spent $250.00 on 2 pair of capri pants  -  yes, $250.00.  They were Jag (edited to correct the name of the jeans!) and they were expensive.  I went overboard and am regretting my impulsiveness.  I do love Jag jeans and don't mind paying over $110.00 for them because they fit my skinny bum better than most  -  but I don't like paying as much for the capri pants.  I'm going to try taking one pair back today even though the receipt says that they must be returned within one week.

I think that I'll go out for a cappuccino and take a good book with me.  My best friend is vacationing in Turkey with her sisters.  My best friend, Anne, has been to every continent except for Antarctica, and she is trying to convince me to go there with her.  Not only is the trip too costly for me ($15,000.00) but it's too cold.  I think I'll pass.  I am, however, thinking of going to N. Ireland next summer.  Anne is always game for travelling, so it just might be a plan.

Well, it's way past time to get dressed (it's after 2), so I'd better get going.  I'll say a prayer for your mom.  What an awful thing for a woman your mom's age to go through.  I think back to my wls surgery almost a year and a half ago at the age of 58 and the pain that I had after that surgery  -  I hope that she is kept on good drugs to save her from the pain after the surgery.

I'll keep thinking good thoughts for both you and her.

Good mornin' ya'll.
Our prayers are still with your Mom. That is very old to be having such an invasive surgery.
I took in the bodice of dress for a neighbor. She is the step mother of the groom in a couple of weeks. Another neighbor will be over later with some pants to be hemmed. And she has a friend who needs some couchillows. I need to begin another costume, but needs to fit my biggest grandson so I will have to alter the pattern. I need to make the coat bigger agross the back, and longer in the sleeves.
My DH is out putzing in his shed. Probably trying to get out on his CB radio, and see how the weather is shaping up. Our weather guy said there was a big windy storm coming today. Two days ago he said we would have nice weather for a week! I am hoping all of you in the path of those tornadoes are safe.
I have got to catch up on my DVR shows. No point in recording them if I am not gonna watch them.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!!

Almost Daisy Dukes shorts, halter top, little denim jacket, higheeled pink crocks on. So southern trailer park outfit!!!!!! 63 yrs old, refurbished body grateful for WLS & taking back her life!! Oh yeah Ode de perfume is menthal rub!!!
Sober for 164 days and so proud of me.
Just back from long Yoda walk. Gentle walking, 15 squirrels in trees, lots of lizards running for their lives, people on bikes, walking, running, dogs on leashes and NO Yoda problems. Monica being alert and avoiding situations makes the walk easier.
Daughter and her man told the 3 children that a new baby will be born in October. All the genetic testing result came back with God blessed results. Alex had to call Gfather immediately with the exciting news. He is jumping for JOY and so wants to have a baby brother. Alex's new thing is saying "Can I tell you something", with every sentence. Paul's daughter had 2 sisters from her mothers encounters with sperm. She didn't sound as excited as Alex or Emma. Wonder why, but know why. Emma so excited too, she wants a baby brother. Hearing the GENUINE JOY AND LOVE in their voices so good for our souls. Sara asked me NOT TO SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE BABY ON FACEBOOK.  The world doesn't have to KNOW just yet. So if you are a FB friend PLEASE DO NOT MENTION THIS BLESSED EVENT TO COME. We asked Alex, Natalie, and Emma to take care of Sara and be especially helpful during the pregnancy. "Can I tell you something" we even have pictures of the baby in the womb. "Can I tell you something" the baby is going to drink milk from Mommy breast, we are mammal and that why's we can do this, not men, but women. I learned that in school. "Can I tell you something" mommy's belly is going to get really big cause the baby is growing inside her.The Gkids promised to kiss mommy belly for us since we can't. Will also give Yoda lick kisses if allowed. They all leave for NYC tomorrow for April vacation. Even when Sara was married to her high school sweetheart, most vacations and trips were made with Emma, Alex, & Sara. He was so far removed from their daily lives and happenings. One of the major reason the kids resisted Paul coming into their llives early on was they were so used to doing things with just the 3 of them or with us. Paul has worked hard to gain acceptance as a positive lets have fun TOGETHER and SHARE OUR LIVES AS A FAMILY. His gentle manner of displine also helps. I saw that the family has bonded and blended while at Disney in Jan, when on a walk to the boat ramp, Emma skipped up to Paul and naturally took his hand in hers. That moment is precious to me.
We are going to take it easy today after the move yesterday. Grateful the stolen items recovered. Security staff genuinly helpful and concerned. So proud of how John handled this. Security sat with me while John hunted the thief down and retrieved our stuff. Some veterans came over to sit with me, news travels here like a forest fire. John came home with all our stuff after stopping at security gate and letting know items recovered and at what site. Security issued a general alert for man and when he returned to RV park man was informed he must come to our campsite, apologize for his mistakenly removing our stuff. Man came over, security came over. Man approached saying he was the thief, apologized, offered his hand for man to man handshake. John accepted and kept quiet as man explained how he thought all the stuff at the back of our site must  have been just left there for free taking. John said how usually free stuff was placed at curb side and marked free. Priceless watching man make fool of himself as he dug a bigger **** hole with his continued excuses. Positive resolution of problem. John kept his cool, we learned how respected and liked we are in RV park. Monica had no Stupid Monica Trick moments. Worried about how John would handle this, but kept busy while he was out hunting, taking Yoda for 2 walks, doing load of laundry, calling RV repair Charlie to come put down new awning. John still is having problems with this, hooking up outside TV, visiting with those who stopped by for support and to comfort me. NEVER even thought about drinking.
Well off to the hot tub for a morning get the kinks out soak, have a happy Saturday all

Good morning OFF!

Just a quick note for me this morning as Hubby wants us to go to the lake early today.  I've got that Board meeting at 4:00 p.m., but he wants us to go early so he can visit with some of his family (3 other brothers and 1 niece also own lakehouses in the same addition).  So we're leaving here in about an hour.

Good news is a dropped another pound this morning!  Just 4/10's short of having lost 35 lbs now.  Just one MORE pound and I'll be in the 230's!  C'mon, c'mon!  I want to say adios to the 240's forever.

Also, finally got my Savory Southern Pot Pie recipe officially entered in the Pillsbury Bake Off.  I know the odds of me being one of the 100 finalists are almost nil, but you never know.  I've never seen a pot pie recipe like this one before.  Maybe it will catch the judges' interest.  (If any of you want the recipe, I'll post it for you, but later.  No time this morning.)

Hey, Monica, if I make it to the finals, I get an all expense paid trip to Florida next year.  Maybe I can come see you!  Hahahahaha!

Everyone sounds happy and upbeat today.  That's a blessing.

Love you all!

Vickie

Oh Vickie, so glad he is home and your arms. John & I both said a little prayer out loud for his safe return.
I gotta have the recipe, love pot pies. You gutsy women entering that contest. I know you have a chance.
Would love to hug you in person, until then virtual hugs, Monica
