Happy Birthday Candy
Today will be a quiet day, nothing planned. Went out to dinner last night with my niece, then to a Simon and Garfunkle tribute concert. Very nice. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy their music.
I had hoped to get outside to "play" but 46 degrees, rainy, and very windy. I think I'll crack open a good book and watch from inside.
...snuggled up in an afghan. Still.

Hope you enjoyed being snuggled, sometimes the best birthdays are giving ourselves a day off!
Hugs and good wishes for the days to come.

Candy,
While you were at a S and G tribute concert I was seated in a theatre in Seattle with my son watching Paul Simon in person! His first concert in four years and he started out a bit shaky. Wonderful band with him and lots of new tunes. I wanted the "oldies" which he performed the second part of the show. Didn't ever do "Cecilia" which was a favorite of mine. I still listen to my "Bridge Over Troubled Water" CD often. Wore out an album, an 8 track and a tape!
All in all it was quite good. He's almost 70 and the voice is not like it was 40+ years ago. According to the Seattle paper he and Art Garfunkle hope to do a reunion concert in the near future.
Happy, happy birthday dear Candy!
