Good morning grammlew and OFF family to post later.

April 12th was my 4th year anniversary of my revision. Can't believe the time has flown by!
Gotta run and see my volunteers and give them a hug for National Volunteer's Week.
The week is flying by and I'm getting a lot of walking in.

Yesterday after work, the sun was shining on my deck so I sat outside in the sunshine and got my 20 minutes of vitamin D with direct sunlight. No sunscreen on for those 20 minutes either.
I love the sun! Everyone have a great day. Hugs Debbie

Morning all....not much to report here -- have a tentative date of May 12th for my gall bladder surgery.

Bedroom painting is finished - looks really pretty.  The walls are the color of the carribean sea -- very light turquoise.  Putting up new "window pane" sheers - neighbor guy put up the new rods, but he and I decided to move them beyond the window frames, so he's coming over to change them and then help me hang the curtains.....I don't get on ladders anymore.

Need to buy a new sweeper and there's a Bissell bagless on sale at the local K-mart so I think I will get it -- looked it up on their website and it was highly recommended.  Hate having to buy bags for my old one.

Going to be another nice day here today, but the weekend is going to be cooler with rain.

Best wishes everyone,
Pat R.

Bedroom color sounds beautiful, so soothing.to the soul. A friend has a full size Dyson, it is incredible. Wish I could afford the Dyson mini sweeper. Our RV is only 40 feet long, we have light blue carpets and a great built in vacuum system. But the hoses are so long and cumbersome to get out from the underbed storage area use, we tend to hand held vac, bent over.

I got a Dyson a few years ago from Overstock.com.  I was blown away by how much dirt it got up out of my carpet!  My old Hoover Windtunnel just wasn't cutting it.  It was disgusting!  And I love not having to change bags!

I was a little leery of buying a "reconditioned" vacuum from Overstock, but it arrived looking brand new and I've never had a problem with it.  In fact, I gave each of my daughters one for Christmas.  Highly recommend them!

Thanks for the idea Vickie, never thought of buying refurbished electronics. Hope hubby fly's out today and into your melting arms.

Monica,

$500 for a vacuum cleaner is ridiculous, I don't care who makes it!  But the prices on Overstock are much better than that.  Sometimes you have to watch for a few weeks.  Things come and go there.

Morning all, sober 162 days and so proud of me.
Happy, sunshine here abounds. Cool this AM with highs in the low 80's.
Did some errands yesterday, saw the $$ of diesel now over the $4 mark. Hubby said you sure called staying here right. News reports gas prices could be at $7-8 by end of year.
Hubby can't believe how good his body felt after the massage, some sore points 1 day after but not bad. Great Yoda time and walk. Dog park good too. Hubby said he needs to be proactive with Yoda at the park, heading off reactions before hand. One of our friends who breeds, trains, and shows Newfoundlands and was at the dog park during the dog/dog-man/man confrontation told hubby he handled the incident appropriately. This helped hubby deal with shame @ losing his temper. Also helped friend is a Korean War veteran.
Walking out of the hot tub pool area last night, a little boy was screaming and jumping and fighting that he had to go home, full melt down tantrum. So hubby started screaming. The little boy leaped in the air and ran to his folks who were drying off. Hubby was shocked he scared the boy and went to offer apology. The parents were laughing and hugging the boy, who had now stopped the tantrum, mom said no problem, it worked he is now ready to go home. We belly laughed all night about it.
Our daily cribbage games were all won by me, with huge hand scores, pegging, and cribs. I rocked, of course getting good cards helped.
Hope all have a good day. We are moving outside stuff to new site today and packing things up inside. Hubby agreeing to take things slow and easy is HUGE. Grateful for that.
Hugs and prayers to all. Special thoughts to Gabbie Gifford on her recovery, Bev in Disney, and our military service members.

I had to laugh at the story of the little boy and his tantrum!  Once, when my kids were very little, they were both crying and screaming and I was just at my wit's end.  So I sat down on the floor and screamed, too.  They were both so stunned that they hushed!  Only worked that one time, but it was great!

Good Morning All, Just a quick shout out. Still working, still catching up from last week, and heading out to Seattle tomorrow at 1pm. My son and I have tickets to see Paul Simon in Seattle tomorrow at 7pm. . . Should be wonderful if I can stay awake to get there and through the concert! Think I'll take a NoDoz before I leave work.

Flowers blooming but I haven't had time work in the yard. I leave for St. Louis April 23-May1. After that I shoud be finished with this long term sub job and back to my 3 days a week of work which will be fine with me.

Sending strength and love to all of you. Judy, my thoughts are with you. Surgery is difficult for anyone but being 90 makes it extra tough.

You all take care and be good to yourself.
