TGIF what's new????????????
Mag, the tenderloin was delicious, but I couldn't eat very much of it. I got the 6 oz steak, and I ate maybe 1/3 of it before I was too full.
I know what you mean about getting in a rut with the food. Every night I seem to have the same thing: a piece of fish or chicken with steamed veggies. I mean, it's good, but it's boring.
I'm a Cook with a capital C. I like to make casseroles and things, as well as junky/snacky foods like nachos and empanadas. I'm having a hard time filling the void. I used to spend a LOT of my time in the kitchen, cooking and creating new dishes. It's like I lost my favorite hobby.
(Of course, if I can lose this 120 pounds, it will be worth it, don't ya think?)
Have a great evening!

Good Morning- it's Spring here too...of course that's one of the reasons to live in California. Today I am getting ready for Marlene's funeral. I have food to take for the reception so I need to leave early. Last night I went to the visitation and rosary. I shared some stories about her (some tears of course), but it felt good to tell about her. After the service today I will head back to work, and then I have Bunco tonight. This weekend is empty of "events"... so I'll sleep in, clean, and do laundry. I also need to go on a grocery shopping trip. The cupboard is bare. I just had a "doggie party" on the bed in the spare room. I jump up on the bed and frolic with my two dogs- we all love it! I squeal and laugh as they jump over me- ow, ow, ow! I need to get dressed- happy day!

Aloha Margo and OFF friends extraordinare!
Sorry for being so absent lately. I guess I'm living life and using my body more. Before at 320 lbs. I could hardly move, so life was very sedentary. I'm thankful, so thankful to be able to move.
Had a very sad situation at the hospital last week. For those of you I haven't met yet (Aloha!), I screen newborn's hearing when they are 12 to 24 hours old. Last week a whole ohana (family) was outside a room with balloons, festive packages and a lot of love. This baby's big brother was about 3 and had a spikey "do"...so cute, waiting for his brother to be born. The baby was born dead. It was so sad, and so upsetting for everyone involved.
That same day I screened a baby that was born to a homeless mother. She had a druggie boyfriend who kept coming in a shouting for her to be let out so she could take care of him. What a jerk. She was waiting for a ride to the shelter. I can't make sense out situations like this.......a baby wanted so badly and so welcome dies, and a baby that has no home, isn't wanted and is probably drug affected goes to a shelter. Sigh. Sometimes I just have to trust and not try to figure things like this out.
It is still dark outside here (5:45 a.m.) and it is nice a cozy in my house. I hope you all have a wonderful day, and that something magic happens is your life.

Good Afternoon OFF Family, and Margo,
I already had a busy morning, and had not time to post till now. I finally got back to my AA meeting, and it was so good to do so. Up until today, I did not feel well enough to go, but finally got up and made it there this morning. I really benefit from attending.
After my meeting, I had to run an errand to church, to drop off a meal for a girl, and then to the Salvation Army to drop off a bag of clothes, then to the grocery store for some bargains and couponing. Now, I have a car full of groceries, and no energy to empty it. I did bring the perishables in and put them away.
This afternoon it is resting the foot, then emptying the car and starting a sewing pattern for some dresses for my granddaughter. I also hope to attend a prayer meeting this evening. A friend, a missionary, hosts a monthly prayer meeting.
Have a blessed day.
Huggles,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Hi Margo and friends,
My sister is doing her taxes. A little rushed to say the least. I found papers she needed for the house taxes. I'm glad I take care of those things. She doesn't file anything. Just puts everything is envelopes and boxes. Drives me crazy. To each their own. Forgot to exercise this morning (walk) and now it's a little too warm for me. Will take a nice walk this evening when the sun is no longer overhead, I love Arizona this time of year.
I was going to get my left knee replaced in 6 weeks, but decided it was too soon to put my body through another surgery and healing process. My surgeon thought that was a good idea. I'm worried that I won't recuperate very quickly.
Have a great day. Mag
