Dear Judy, you and your Mom are in my prayers. I believe FMLA would be available to you. I think that is Federal Medical Leave Act.
If you have to take time off to tend to a family member you can't lose your job! You have to use up your sick leave and personal leave first. Unfortunately, my DIL was unable to use it when I had my cancer thing because I was an in-law! My daughter was able to use it.

Hugs Judy and honey your brother is correct that she will probably have to go in a nursing home for rehab. Big surgery for a 90 year old but my "adopted mom" had Heart Surgery, she is 82 years young, did well but still ended up in the nursing home for a few weeks. She is home now and doing great. This is a stressful time and prayers do help. Hang in there and be "a rock" for your mom.

Thanks Debbie!!! Its hard for me right now to be a "rock" at all!! right now I am more like a limp noodle!!! I am glad that your friend is home and doing great!!!
