Bentley and I wish everyone a great Sunday monring,
I just got home form work. We were kind of busy and my shoulder is kind of aching inspite of the taping. but the aching is easing up.
I got excited today, the scale showed 144!!!!!  I havent seen that for a few summer since I had thyroid cancer. Since the massage therapist taped my shoulder it drained my lymph nodes in my arm and increased my lasix I have lost about 8 pounds of water weight in my arm alone!!!! Seems I have lymphodema in my arm that i had brachioplasty. So if you get your arms done watch for that.
I also went to try on my dress for my daughters wedding. It is to big on the top so it will have to be altered.
Well post on today and Ill check in later.

Morning. Saw the dress on FB. You picked a beautiful, classy, and sassy dress. Gorgeous. Yes it needs to be taken in. Also need to visit VS for the girls. Sorry the shoulder is sore, glad the tape is working.
Went to bed for an hour got up and am watching a great 1963 classic film on TCM, America America.
Had a low key Saturday. I napped 3 times, listened to body to lay low. Went to hot tub and pool @ 4. Nice live country band playing. We went to Perkins for dinner. The new pecan trout just perfect in taste and size.
Mass later today, stopping a Walmart for taxes-ugh. Making a pork loin in crock pot outside. Love the grocery bargins down here, especially buy one get one free.
Enjoy the day, hugs all, Monica....sober 158 and so proud of me.

Hi Carla and Monica and those to follow:

It's a little after 2 a.m. ... I'm watching the White Sox game ... they beat the Rays 4-2 (at least they didn't blow this one). I will probably go to bed soon.

Uneventful night at work ... we are trying to figure out our way on the new typefaces for Lafayette, but it went OK. One of the Lafayette editors is leaving ... this is one of the people actually in Lafayette ... never met him, but he's a nice guy (at least he seems so) ... goes out of his way to do a lot more than others. He has been sick a lot.

We found out Friday that the La. newspapers will go to Des Moines, Iowa, rather than Nashville now in 2012 for the Design Studios or Design Centers or whatever they're going to call them ... but that could change again, who knows?

Carla, your dress looks great. I saw it on Facebook this evening.

Well, not much else going on here. My cake was a hit at work, almost half gone. I had a small piece. Feeling a little blue, only one birthday card and my bday is Monday ... boohoo.  One of my coworkers asked what I was going to do Monday and I said probably laundry unless I got a present in the mail today ... well, there was nothing, so I guess it's laundry and staying home. Oh well ... that's OK.

Anyway, have a good day.

Hi Carla and Monica,
I'm up late. I took a nap and didn't get up until 6PM. Saturday church is at 6:30 so I missed i****ched a very boring movie tonight, The Tourist, (w/ Johnny Depp.)  The critics were right. Very slow paced and dull.
Our cat, Bela the boy, has been sick for a while. He was on antibiotics and a anti-spasm med for a bladder/urine problem. He wasn't getting well as fast as the vet wanted. He was talking surgery. Instead he ordered prednisone twice a day. I realized tonight that he's always hungry due to the steroids. But it is working!!! No surgery for now. Just meds for another month. Recheck in 6 weeks unless a problem arises.

My siste has applied for a differnt job w/ the same company. Probably same pay but better hours and holidays off. I sure hope she gets. She wants it so bad.
Thinking of you.    Mag      Nite Nite

Good morning, ya'll.
I have a grandson asleep in 'his' bedroom here. The reason he came here to spend the night?.......his bed is covered with clean clothes and he didn't want to fold them and put them away. This is the one who turned 20 yesterday! Now THAT, is lazy!
I'll start the bacon soon and the smell will probably entice him out of his lair. I expect his brother won't be down until much later.
I did my 30 min on my treadmill and I'm waiting to cool off so I can take my shower.
I made a bad decision yesterday. I didn't wanna start another costume, and needed a short break from my crochet. I started rereading the 'Clan of the Cave Bear' series. Now I can't put it down. I took my iPad to bed last night and read way too late. Now I will have to pry myself away to do other things!
Carla, how wonderful that your dress will need to be taken in! And Monica, keep up the good work. We are all so proud of you! I wish I could control my food addiction as well as you are controlling your other addiction! Eileen, I am so happy to see that you are settling into your new job so well. I remember when you weren't so sure. And Mag, I hope your Sis gets the job she wants.
BTW, I am Carolyn Waldron Lewellyn on FB, if anyone wants to stop by.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Have you read the newest last book of the Clan of the Cave bears series?  The painted caves?  It a couple of weeks ago.   Not quite as good as some  but has some interesting  wrap ups for the series!   Hubby and I both like the series so we splurge on the hard covers when they come out instead of waiting for the paperback,

I'm working up to that one. There was a sample of it at the end of the 'Clan of the Cave Bear' that I downloaded to my iPad. I want to refresh my memory on the others first.
I'm that way with the JD Robb books. I used to get the hardcover. Now I put it on my iPad.

GrammyLew and Jo,

I loved Clan of the Cave Bear when it first came out. Loved the first 3 books in the series. But frankly #4, and then especially #5, were a bit of a let down. I read some reviews on #6 and they weren't very encouraging. I don't know if I really want to invest in the last hardback or not. I'd be interested to hear what both of you think after you read it.

BTW, have you read Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series? I am in love with all of the books in that series! If you haven't read them, I highly, highly recommend!

I agree, I think the first 3 books are the best. I'll keep plugging along though til I get to the new one. I haven't read the Outlander series. I will have to look into them!

Oh, they're fantastic!  Best books I've ever read!  Start with the first one, Outlander, and you'll be hooked.  I'm always waiting, waiting, waiting, for the next one to come out!
