Oh my, another book series! BUT with my iPad I don't have them strung all over the house. BUT, that also means I can't share them. I will look into them. I do love a good book.

I have the book and have read it already.I have waited for 9 years for it  and had it the day it came out!    I thing the 3rd 4th and 5th were my favorites  probably plains of passage my favorite.     The last one  is good   and does tie up a lot of the stories.

Carolyn,
Still don't like it there ... but it's a job and I'll stay there until they close the place or I get fed up with their lies.

I got the new "Clan of the Cave Bear" book and will read it soon ... got it through one of my book clubs as part of the introductory offer.

Good morning all Sun 2

The cats helped me sort through the linen closet. No, they were not much help but sure enjoyed getting into a usually "no-no" area. Upon opening the door I felt like announcing "my name is Annette and I am a hoarder". Out went the old hairdryers, curling irons, a stack of old cards and assorted JUNK. Not all the junk was tossed but it is better organized. I couldn't get rid of a bag filled with doilies my grandmother made for example.

Kisses

Hi there!
Annette, I have some lace my grandmother made before WWI in my cedar chest. I'm thinking that I will have them matted and framed for my office when we redo it in a month or so. It will be preserved and I'll enjoy it so much more than I do with it all stashed away.

It's a beautiful morning here, so we took our breakfast out onto the patio. So peaceful and quiet. The neighborhood basketball game hasn't started across the street yet, so it's still nice and quiet without the constant " thud, thud, thud" of the ball. Oh well, better they be playing basketball than sitting inside or finding trouble around the Hood.

Gotta go see what Gary wants me to look at on his computer. Usually it's something that interests him a whole lot more than me, but I let him think is great.

Hugs to all!

Susan

Susan,

I was thinking along those lines too. Too pretty to leave in the linen closet.

I had some doilies I couldn't part with.  Obviously, with cats, doilies on furniture just turn into scrap thread, so I mounted them on black or dark blue velvet and framed them in old frames behind non-reflective glass.  They look especially nice in a bedroom or bathroom.  And, as Susan said, so much nicer to enjoy them on display than in a closet.  Added plus....they don't have to be washed and stretched over and over again.

They make nice gifts for family members who will treasure them.

A great outlet for your creativity, too.

You are so right about CATS Candy. Nothing is sacred around them.

Framed doilies would be perfect in the spare room.
