Sunshine Saturday, whats up?
Good Saturday mornin' ya'll.
Yesterday our DIL went and put in her order for their new floors. It is bamboo, looks like hardwood, and apricot color. I went with her and put the amount on my American Express card, she gave me her cash. I get 5% cash back on that card, so we try to use it a lot, even if we have the cash. We are sure to pay it off each month. This years cash back check was $465. Since we are only getting 1% interest on our IRA's and CD's the AmEx card is a much better deal!
I was gonna get some flowers while we were at Lowes, but by the time we were done with her floor order, I wasn't feelin it. Maybe today. I have nothing else planned.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!!

Good morning Monica and my OFFer buddies!
Well, I haven't been here much, other than to read, but I have been thinking about all of you. So many new faces joining our little community. I guess it's not too little anymore, is it? Anyway, welcome to the newbies, this is a great place to be!
I've been trying to live a more "normal" life. That is, I've stopped my Fitday journaling for now to see if I can do it on my own. For heaven's sake, I'm nearly 5 years out.....you'd hope that I'd have it figured out by now...lol. Or, maybe I'll never "figure it out" and then I'll gladly go back to journaling my food. I still weigh every day, and as long as I stay within my current allowed range (134-136) I'll consider myself successful. The rules of the pouch are pretty well ingrained, no drinking before, during or after meals, stop eating when I'm full, etc. are still habits for me. The other day I asked the girls to make a cherry pie for my b'day lunch and I guess I ate it too soon after the Mexican chicken soup because it all came back up. Since I don't dump, it's all I could figure, but at least it didn't go to my hips...lol!
Okay, it's my Friday, so I'd better get my rear in gear. Hope you all have a wonderful day and know I'm thinking of you!

Well h
Honey, the jury is still out on what my "normal" is, and I'm not sure I'll ever find it, but I have to try.
Next Wednesday will be three months....can you believe it? All draining is done, hardly ever have any swelling anymore, and he's fixing the dog ear the end of the month. There will be a spot to fix on my arm from the incision spreading, but that's an in office procedure, too. So, all's good.
How's by you?

Good Morning, All
Congrats on 150 days, Monica. Susan, good to see you back here again. Great to see everyone else, too. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
This morning I'm headed to a flea market/bazaar for a while. Going alone because everyone else seems to have plans, and it's a last minute decision to go. Then, if the weather stays sunny and warms up just a teensy bit (doubtful..it's 31 degrees here now) I may go outside and take stock. Or continue to straighten the garage I still have stuff piled all over and empry bins and shelves to fill. It would be nice to get that all organized before I start gardening this year.
Not much else on the agenda. Today I miss Dallas, and Thelma. There's never a shortage of fun stuff to do with her, and a fun companion to do it with. So many friends here are still working and/or married, and have so many other committments.
Lonesome today, and bored. Gonna get out and moving. Sunshine will help, even though it's cold out. Feeling sorry for myself doesn't accomplish anything.
Everyone have a good weekend.

Good Morning everyone
Sounds like we are all going to be busy today. I am up early for me because at 8:00 am I will log on to a site that will show me my DIL's sonogram as it is being done. I will see a 3D color image of my grand daughter. don't know about the color part?
Then I will head out to church for the dress rehearsal of Mozart's Coronation Mass we are doing with another church and orchestra. Then to the hospital to visit a friend. She lost her son a couple of weeks ago and we thought all the issues she has been having were emotional. NOT
After a battery of tests and an incident where she set off all the alarms in her room they found that her heart beat had gone down to 20 beats a minute and she needs a pacemaker. Tonight I am going to see Yo Yo Ma downtown.
Tomorrow we will be having lunch with friends after church and then I will rest so I can sing tomorrow night. WHEW! Monday I head out to Louisiana for a week to be with my mom.
That's all but it is enough. My activity seems to come in spurts.
Have a good one and prayer to those who need them.
Monica....you are doing so well. you are a strong woman. Congratulations ! ! ! !

I actually got out there today and spent almost three hours organizing stuff. Didn't make a dent in the mess, but the exercise was good for me. I've done pretty much nothing most of this past week other than sit on my butt and read. I figured that if I didn't get out and do something my ass would end up permanently affixed to the chair.....
