OT: Decision made..Staying in Florida
Hubby and I have been kicking around the idea of staying in Florida for the summer. We negotiated with the RV resort about rate and moving to a shaded spot. Got a super deal for an upgraded spot that includes electric. We discussed price of diesel, going to northern campground near Gkid and family, their busy life styles, benefits and cons of staying here and concluded staying here is good for us. I am happy here, feeling good about me after years of not liking me. We have a daily agenda, are active, love the area.
So we made the decision and then called the kids. All 3 were very happy for us. They supported our decision. We discussed driving north for a visit and bringing back the Gkids and Sara will consider them coming here for 2-3 weeks. Renting a small car would be cheaper than driving our diesel truck. Also have various plane options.
Had to share, hugs, Monica
I have to say that it is a wonder how you've turned things around and are coping with things so much better. Happy that you and your hubby were able to come to a decision that makes you both happy and that the kids agreed to it. . .
My son and his family are talking about going down in April or May (probably May) for a week and I am going to try to meet them down there for some part, as it is not often all my children and grandchildren are in the same place, maybe depending on how long I can get away for, I will be able to come and meet you in person. . . I know it's about a two hour drive from where I'll be, but I have no issue driving, it would just be a time thing. . . so we'll see. . .
Enjoy your new upgraded spot! You will certainly need the shade in the hotter months, which will be here before you know it. . .
Hugs, Laureen

Enjoy your new RV spot, and the grandkids when they visit.

This place must have great meaning for you. The place you began your sobriety, the place you learned to like your TRUE self, and don't forget the bra!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
