Rode into work with hubby today, I love his heated seats!
Nothing new with me, have choir practice today. We did not play volleyball at church yesterday, ended up in our hot tub to relax and I go too relaxed! LOL

Yep, Wednesday, PT, yippee! I am so over that!
My daughter and granddaughter are getting very excited about their trip to the CMAs. They have decided to leave a day earlier to see the concert on Friday night. It will be new artists. Our SIL and grandson will be attending a Mixed Marshall Arts Camp at the same time.
I think the Spring weather we had earlier in the month was the last of it. I hope we at least get summer, before fall gets here. It's sure feeling like winter again!!
Those pounds I gained last year just keep hangin in there, literally!! Why is it, I know what I have to do to lose this, but I can't seem to do it. I feel like I'm being sucked out to sea and no matter how hard I paddle, I can't get back!! At least I am now using my treadmill daily. And I haven't gained anymore since those initial pounds, thank God!
Anyway, everyone have a fantabulous day!

Turning to you for some advice. Been having computer issues for months and months. Had a tune up and virus cleaning last year. But it continues to run slow and freezes. Scans done show nothing. Now this is an expensive Dell laptop and 5 years old. Battery is dead so I have to use it plugged in, bummer. After reading about your trials and tribulations lately I am reluctant to call the Geek Squad. This laptop was top of the line 5 years ago, plays movies OK, not so great with downloading photos, emails, and such. Has all kinds of programs. Still very usable. I'm thinking of a mini or ? tablet/pad that doesn't cost too $$$ or will be obsolete right after I buy it. What are your thoughts? Bring it in somewhere and leave it for diagnostic or jump into something new. Called Staples and they will do a free diagnostic, but say up front it will probably need the $69.95, 3 day left in store investigation. Thanks for you help and insight.

I would pay the $70 for the diagnostics. Then you'll know everything and can decide what to do. I should have had them do that first! But somehow I thought they must have done that, since they figured out I needed a new hard drive! You should always have an external hard drive to put big files on. Especially if you have lots of pictures. I have no experience with Staples, but I sure wouldn't go back to the Geek Squad.
Unfortunately, stuff that was top of the line (and very spendy) 5 years ago, gets pretty old, very fast. I guess it depends on what you want your puter for. My grandkids have ones with good graphics, sound and lots of space because they do gaming. I don't care if mine is real speedy, but it has to be able to run my genealogy program with pictures.

I say junk it and buy a new one I got a new acer for 599.00 on HSN 125 a month for 5 months. I also want a Ipad 2 but am reluctant to get one rightnow cause I just got the i phone and it dowa basically the same thing but I cant see the screen!!!!!
I also have a mini acturally we have 2. Mine has a verizon sim card in it so I have internet all the time. but I pay big bucks for it 72.00 dollars a month for it.

Morning Eileen and OFF family!!!
Well I got a wake up call this morning to come into work because Melissa called off...again! Nope I can't do it...sorry I have a dr's appointment for my pain!!!!! I am not going to cancell this appointment to go into work and besides I am hurting big time!!!!!!! I NEED this time off!!!!!!!! I need the money but I also NEED the time to relax if at all possible!!!! Hope the dr gives me something that will help my pain!!! Or will do something for this pain!!!! Will let you know later what happens.
Got the hair color on my hair right now so only have a couple more minutes before I have toget it off. I am going Medium chestnut brown. Liked the look of the copper in it. Was going to try the dark auburn but chickened out at how red it would have been....LOL Thetimer just went off so better hit the shower...be bck later after dr appointment!!!

Having a good time down here at the lake house at Canyon Lake. Got to see my little Benny yesterday! Golly, what a charmer he is! So cute! He's just the love of my life!
So, it is chilly here--go figure! I didn't bring the right clothes for this weather. I brought capris and tees. Thankfully I had one pair of sweat pants that I had left here at the lake. That's all I've been wearing since we arrived! But supposed to get back up into the 80's for tomorrow.
I have an old bathroom scale here at the lake house. It's analog and not very reliable. You get a different weight every time you step on it. But I am happy to say that EVERY time I step on it, it is somewhere in the 240's! This morning it was almost 240 on the dot! I can't wait to get home and see what I weigh on my good digital scale.
Since I haven't been on OFF for very long, let me just give a brief bit of background on this lakehouse. We just bought it last October. I told my husband I needed a "foot on the ground" down here, so I could come and see my daughter and grandson each month. Hotels are too expensive and my daughter doesn't really have the room for extended visits. Anyway, this house is not very well furnished yet! I brought some old cast-offs for the living room, and we had an old patio table that we've been using to eat on. Not very comfortable dining at all!
Well, yesterday we were in San Antonio, and I said, "Let's go look at furniture." I ended up buying a complete new dining set: table, chairs, hutch--the works! I am so excited. It will be delivered on Saturday. Now I just have to figure out how to tell my husband (over in Saudi) what I've done! Tee hee! I know he really won't mind. We've been talking about it ever since we bought this place. But we usually make major purchases together. I guess it will just have to be a surprise to him!
Today my daugher and grandson are coming out here to visit. I've been fixing up one of the bedrooms here as a nursery. If the weather cooperates, we're going antiqueing in New Braunfels today.
Hope everyone is hanging in there. Mag, honey, you get yourself to the doctor and get some anti-depressants! No shame in asking for help when you need it--and you need it! Please don't suffer in silence any longer. You'll feel so much better if you get some help.

Vickie, Last February, 2010, my hubby and I spent a few days in San Antonio and the surrounding area. We drove up to the "hill country" one day and would love to return to explore more some day. Your lake house sounds like a wonderful retreat. Anywhere the "grands" are is wonderful isn't it?

Hi Eileen and everyone, I woke up at 10 AM after staying up til 5 AM to see my sister off for a short 5 day trip to Kansas City. I love that town and have many friends there. I have had one protein drink and now need to get some meds and vitamins in before lunch. I think I'll actually get dressed today and see if that helps me perk up. I do feel a bit better after posting last night. I jut want to have one thing go right for a change. Just one. My cat may need surgery. He has been on meds to help his bladder problems. I'll find out tomorrow afternoon. Please Lord, let him be alright. Mag
