NON-FOOD Stupid Monica Trick

Last week while out with Candy & Carla, Carla brought me home and we stopped by a Bed, Bath & Beyond. I have wanted a slicing handheld mandolin, but didn't want to spend alot of $$$ on it. Found one for $14 and got it.
So I decided to try it out making salad. I NOW KNOW WHY you use the safety guard...in one pass I got a large flap cut on the knuckle of my right big finger. The cut is on the outter side of the finger. I manage to open it up 6 to 8 times a day. Doesn't hurt, just bleeds a lot. Going through lots of bandages, can't do dishes, difficult shuffling cards, oh well.
Learned another lesson from a Stupid Monica Trick moment. Hugs all, don't send cards, flowers, or gems, had to share. Monica

Monica,

I've been there done that and unfortunately those slices on our fingers take time, try using the breatheable bandaids while awake, you may have to change them a few times a day, but it will help and then at night let the air at it for healing. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Thus the lesson from the mandolin . . . I did the very same thing the first time I used mine, but it was on the outside of my little finger.  Heal quickly!
