Read all the posts. Everyone is doing so good. I am still in Ottawa but going home to Isle-Aux-Allumette Wed. been here 10 days babysitting a 8 and an 11 yr. old.  They have this alarm system and it scares me to death to set it and get out and in without setting it off. so I just stayed in.  Will see one of my Drs. Wed morning then we will do some grocery and head home.   take care and God Bless.  Doris QC.

Hey Doris..I have alot of family along the Ottawa River, including Calumet Island!

Mom was born in Campbells Bay so I have family also in Campbells Bay, Shawville, Otter Lake, Bryson, Fort Colounge, Calumet Island, Quyon, Charteris, Otter Lake.....I was born in Ottawa in Grace Hospital. We are up that way several times a year.

Actually we were invited to attend a Maple Syrup "Sugar Bush Party" on what we call "The Island"...Calumet Island...so pancakes & real maple syrup brekkie in the bush from the same sugar bush where my grandmother and great grandmother made syrup, a sea pie supper and a typical Irish family party after with dancing, fiddles and spoons!  However, we are in Myrtle Beach, Southern Carloina instead.  Sunshine and warmth won over cold bush, deep  snow and no indoor toilet in said bush...lol.

My neighbor across the road is Brian Lance.   He is single. Don't know anything about. He bought my Aunts House after she died. small world.   Doris QC.
