Tuesday Tales- What are YOU up to??

Good mornin' ya'll.
Nancy, I know you will enjoy yourself once you get in the groove! My DH and I have made numerous cross country trips. The first day is the worst. With relatives in NE, NY, and TX and my DH in the Navy, we were quarenteed a LOT of trips. And after we retired to OR, we still did a lot of driving the country. After 1995, when my DH stopped driving, it was up to me, even hauling a trailer. Keep us posted on your travels.
Yesterday, I was still wrestling with my puter. I was having trouble getting my puter on our home network. I bought a new router, thinking that was the trouble. After getting it installed, still mine didn't work. After lots of troubleshooting, I discovered I needed a new wireless adapter. Soooo, I have a new hard drive, a new power supply, a new router and adapter. I could have bought a new computer! But I wanted to keep my Win XP operating system. My DH has one with Vista and one with Win 7. Lots of problems, he also had to buy many new programs!
Today is a very nice do nothing day. It was 30 degrees here this morning, and won't get much above 45 all day. I'm very happy I have no where to go and a heat pump that works very well.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good morning Nancy B. and OFF family...Happy Tuesday!

I rode into work with hubby today so I'm at work early just waiting to badge in.
Saving gas money when I do this.
Plan on going to play church volleyball this evening, they are trying to get us older folks involved with activities. LOL!

Nothing new with me, I'm boring and just chilling. Went to the dentist after work yesterday, got fitted for a crown and my mouth hurts today...all those shots but I'd rather have the shots than pain. Hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbie

Good morning everyone,

Tom and I got home late late Sunday night but for us it was early early morning. I called in for work on Monday because I was so exhausted and would have not been functional at work. I hated to because now I have to make that time up and my desk is really piled high with to dos. We were on the airplane almost 11 hours on Sunday not counting the 3 we drove.

The whole interview process went well and we should hear sometime at the end of the week or beginning of next. The only thing that will keep Tom from getting this job is his lack of experience in classroom teaching. We have our fingers and toes crossed and I'll keep you posted.

Will go to the Doctors with my parents too this week. Mom's surgery is scheduled for the 20th of April. It will be a long hard row to hoe. It's really hard for me to wrap my mind around how serious this is as both of them have been in and out of the hospital for the past couple of years.

Well, Nancy, safe travels and hope you all have great Tuesdays!

Cheryl

Morning all. Sober 146 days and so proud of me
Got a deep CHILL while at the dog park last night. After the heavy thunderstorms yesterday, the breeze picked up. We had the AC on as the windows were shut. I thought it was hot out, but the wind had changed and it was cool. Got back from park, put on socks, long pants, fleece hoodie, and finally heated up the neck wrap, put that on along with my fleece bathrobe, and wrapped myself in the down blanket. Finally could stop shivering at bed time. Woke up this morning feeling normal, neck and shoulders not bunched up and stiff. Hubby kept asking me how he could help. I finally snapped at him to just leave me alone. Why can't he understand that there was nothing he could do? When he gets grouchy, I REALLY try to back off and not nag him to take proactive steps to making things better.
The awning insurance check finally showed up. Accident happened on Feb 8th and check arrival March 28th. Three times and ## calls to insurance company and then our agent, being told of 3 different dates the check was mailed, it arrived. Now if our payment took that long !!!!!
Awning should be here this week, it is coming from Colorado. MMM, we haven't been to Colorado yet, but does getting the new custom awning from there qualify us to put the CO magnet on our map of places we have been?
Rain was so needed here. The pollen is knocked down along with my eyelids and under eye area. Hubby put Yoda's yellow raincoat on him for his night walk. Yoda would not even come over to show me how he looked. Guess Yoda thought it looked stupid. This morning his fur, which has grown so much in 7 weeks is all cute curls and wisps.
Not much on the agenda. More thunderstorms forecast for later today, not complaining we need it here so badly.
The new tankini and jeans I ordered from Newport News came and I look so good in both. It is hard for me to buy clothes and stuff. Usually hubby buys me stuff. But as I feel better about Monica, I am getting me stuff.
Also got a white short skirt, fits fine but the 2 front pleats give a funny fall. Rethinking if I will keep it. All three pieces were on sale and I had a 15% off coupon. Couldn't resist the $64 skirt reduced to $21.
Well hope you all have a wonderful day. Safe passage to those on the road. Hugs Monica

Good Morning Friends,

Got back from the Seattle area about 6pm last night. Busy, productive, fun, tiring 4 days! Showered Kristin, helped Erin and family with the never ending move in readiness project, then had my plastic surgery consultation Monday AM before heading back home.

The consultation went well. Liked the doctor and nurse. Only problem is that the 6 week schedule lead is more like 6 MONTHS! Guy at the information desk needs to be updated. I am so disappointed as I wanted to get this done before Nathan's wedding in early July. I am on the cancellation list as I can be over there within 5 hours but I don't know how many other people are on the same list. I'll keep you posted. Also, will NOT be able to do thighs and arms at the same time. . .  It will happen just not when I had hoped.

Other than that the trip was great. Always love spending time with my kids. Mike and I will be back over there next week after going to the Oregon coast for a few days. Our son's 30th birthday is coming up and there's a party! My "baby" can't be 30!

Must hit the shower and put on my smile. It's a bit crooked and shakey this morning but I'll do my best. I still am amazed after 6 years just how much I can do compared to before WLS. I had to rest several times trying to go up a flight of stairs or across a parking lot. This weekend I washed MILES of knotty pine walls with oil soap and water and am only a bit sore from the effort. Worked up a good sweat but even that felt good.

You all have a great Tuesday. Happy trails, Nancy. I didn't catch where you are heading. Knowing JB's history I'm sure you'll cover plenty of territory!!

Good morning Nancy and my friendly OFFer's!

Thanks again for the great b'day wishes. What a great week I'm having!  Sunday we had a few friends over for a wee bit of a party. Nice time, but trying to grill during a hail storm turned out to be interesting, to say the least. Jeff and Tess took turns holding the umbrella over me.  How lucky I am...lol

Yesterday I had one client to do at 11:00, then she took me out to lunch. Then a facial from my dear Tess, followed by some sugar free, low fat frozen yogurt. Off to Anthropologie to spend a gift card, then got a pedicure and out to dinner with Gary. Quite a full day!  Today the girls at work are doing lunch for me, it's a good thing, too, since I have a 10:00 client and then nothing until 4:30.  Partying will make me not think about how I'm going to pay my bills. Oh well, birthdays come but once a year, gotta make the most of them.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. Nancy, travel safely, Monica.....continuing to be proud of YOU!

Take care!

Susan

Morning Sue, professional question please. Hubby gets lots of ingrown hairs on face and other places. What inexpensive, not too "girlie" products can he use to exfoliate and prevent the inny's growing in. He has always had this problem, but it is getting worse and he picks at them and then causes a pimple which he worries at. Anything "household" he could use?
Two loads of wash done, bed stripped and waiting to be made. Bathroom and kitchen scrubbed too. I am dressed with the Traveling Bra and back from Yoda's first walk. He is such a great hunter, he put 5 squirrels into trees this morning. He also found the treat I put in the treat tree. He pranced around and basked in his good work.
Clouds are building and a lovely breeze rocks the spanish moss loaded in the trees. Trying hard to NOT worry about how happy I am. Even left the RV without my "blankie", the traveling hat, and without going through my OCD list of "what if's". I know Karen C will be so proud of me. Accepting my worthiness to happiness, this is big.

Monica, I talked with Tess, my "all things skin" expert and she suggests either witch hazel or sea breeze, both can be found at walmart. She said to have him use it after he shaves and it should help.
There are some other products I've seen in some of my catalogues, I'll look around.
