Saturday What's Up All

Good Morning Monica,
I was going to post earlier, but fell back asleep.  I got up around 5:00 and walked Utley, and got an ice pack and took my pain med and sat down in the rocking chair and fell asleep.

I had a good visit to the surgeon who operated on my toes yesterday.  I am more mobile now, which is a real answer to prayer.  The doc was pleased with what he saw in the way of lack of swelling, which I attribute to spending three days in bed with my feet up on three pillows and lots of ice packs.

Today has me continuing to rest my foot, and walk Utley.  I need to attend an AA meeting, but am unsure about not having my foot up for an hour.  We will see how I feel a little later.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hugs,
Trish

Just planning a day of laziness today.  The weather turned off cold again and it rained last night so no mowing or tilling today.  Val and I have decided to do a light cleaning around the place and jump back in bed with the computer and catch up on some of our syfy shows and just be pure lazy.  After my sister's visit which was wonderful and really cheered me up, I babysat a 5 y/o son of my best friend for two days.  I forgot what a handful they can be at that age, lol.  I really did enjoy having him though.  He is a real cutie.  My son Eddie was home on Spring Break too so he and Mitchell had some fun and it helped me out too.  I can't believe he is graduating from high school this year.  Time sure does fly by.  My grandson came in from Colorado and will be here for 6 months.  I can't for the life of me understand why the mother did it now instead of waiting until school is out.  It makes it hard on him.  He has grown so much the past 6 months.  He'll be 13 this year.  We are waiting for him to wake up next door.  I told him to come over here and I'd fix him some breakfast.  Got half the dog pack bathed the other day and the ****er spaniel shaved.  Only 4 more to go.  I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Aloha Monica and sweet OFFers........

Monica, it is so wonderful to see you change your sobriety date each day. That is a great thing you are doing for yourself. My father was an alcoholic and got sober when he was 63. When he died much later he had 300 people at his funeral (mostly AA's) and they all had words of love for him, for his help and support through the years. I think those were some of the best of his life.

It is fun to come in and read each day and see what each of you is up to. I'm surprised that the snow still is hanging around in so many places. Here we have been having winds....strong winds...for seems like weeks. I'm not complaining exactly, but the wind does makes me uncomfortable.

This morning (it's 5:20 a.m. right now), I am off to the hospital to screen yesterday's babies' hearing. I was told there were many women in labor and delivery so I'm expecting a bumper crop......ha. Some days only 3 or 4, and some days 16!!!

Just had to pop in say Hi. Welcome to those who I haven't really met yet, or spoken to....this IS the place to come for this marvelous ride!! So happy for you all.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Hi Monica and my OFF family:

It's 84 degrees, humid and I think we're supposed to get some rain today ... at least that's what my body tells me. I woke up at 5:30 a.m. with my back hurtin', my body sweatin' and itchy.  Couldn't get back to sleep. I finally took a pain pill and a benadryl, slathered on some benadryl cream and read for a while until everything took hold. Needless to say, I don't feel very rested today. I'm still in pain, too. But gotta go to work tonight. Ugh.

But at least I'm not doing Monroe sports ... so it won't be so bad.

I'm with Candy ... I want to cuddle with the kitties today (although it's nice here ... a little windy) ... only one kitty to cuddle with, but I just want to sit at home and watch basketball. Along with the backache, I also have a headache. My get-up-and-go got up and went. Gonna need a Trenta iced coffee for work today.

Well, enough whining. Good to see y'all. Have a good one.

Evening Monica and OFF!!!!

WOW Monica you did it today and I didn't help you at all!!! LOL See you can do it!!! Proud of you!!! HUGS!!!!

Well I worked today 830-5 and every bone and muscle in my body is screaming in pain!!!! I worked alone AGAIN all day and its getting old!!! I went through 32 hot dogs in less than 15 minutes!!! I couldn't keep up with waiting on people and making the food!!!! I tried and failed...oh well!!! Even the manager had to wait 15-20 minutes for the next round of dogs to get done so he could have one!!! Told him what I thought about working alone on a saturday but ofcourse that fell on deaf ears!!

Rick wants to go to LOWE's so need to get going...hate to move but he wants to go and he had a few beers and I will NOT let him drive the car!!!! So I will take him and then come home and relax the rest of the night. Just wanted to stop in and say HI...thoughts and prayers....

HUGS
