Saturday What's Up All
MMM, coffee delicious this morning. Sober 143 days and so proud of me.
Saw on FB that Debbie is in NY and almost back to VT. Trip going well. She had a busy week. Missing Candy, hope her trip home went well.
VERY foggy here, thick like the pollen. Not much planned, our days revolve around pool time, love time, and Yoda time. I am grateful for my life. Remembering when I wasn't.
Shocked to learn how many police officers have been slain in the first 3 months of 2011. Grateful for their service...protecting US and putting themselves at risk.
Also grateful for our military members...those in Japan helping out and being exposed to the radiation, those fighting in the middle east, those guarding their posts here in America.
Enjoy the weekend. Hugs, Monica

Good morning, Monica. I agree with your gratitude towards all those who serve to keep us safe, here and abroad.
Interesting little topic..... The University of AR just hired a new basketball coach who is being paid 3.3 MILLION a year. Something's wrong where a person is paid so much for such a trivial job compared to those who teach our children or keep us safe.
Golly, it's early to be on this soapbox...lol!
Hope you all have a great day today. Hugs!

Oh Monica....I will enjoy myself...not that I don't with Grace but we all need our own time. I just found out Grace is leaving in about an hour to spend the weekend with her dad. He will bring her back Monday morning. I might even get out tonight and browse the town!!

Morning Monica and all OFFer's (lol)
First off. Congratulations Monica 143 days!! whoo whooo...so proud of you!!
I am feeling very optimistic today..finally got the scales moving DOWN.. 3 1/2lbs this week! Took some doing to figure out how to get protein to be between 40 & 50% of my calories but I averaged 43% this week and the scales reflected my diligence ^_^ I have been so frustrated for the last 2 months; I am feeling 'successful' again.
Today DH and I celebrate 12years of marriage! We both agree that for a second marriage for us both, we didn't do too bad LOL We plan to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner (early! 4:30pm to get early-bird prices ;-) But first I've got to go get gas for the car, complete our taxes, do an on-line finance class, start the laundry and maybe give the dogs baths. Anything to keep myself busy and not think about snacking. So true: idle hands are the devils workplace...and he plants carb cravings in my brain!!
So..I'm off to complete my day...today should be last day of rain for a while...I certainly hope so! Have a great day everyone..treat yourself special! ^_^

Good Morning, Monica, Susan, and those to follow.
Yes, I made it home fine. 87 degrees in Orlando when I left there, 27 and ground covered with snow when I got home. It's a robust 14 this morning. I'm not happy.
I got the laundry all done yesterday, took some things out of the freezer to start a crock pot meal, and shopped for a few groceries, mostly dairy stuff. I read all the back newspapers, which isn't tough because the local paper only has about 10 pages , and checked out the obits and the police report which is about the only news they cover.... I've been loving the kitties to the point of "Enough already!". On my part, not theirs. I think all 3 would be content to crawl on my lap and stay there for a month. I missed them, but Geeze!
Today will be an at home day with the exception of a run into the village for a flea market the Catholic church is having. Too cold to tour the gardens and plan for Spring. Besides, they're covered with snow...
Oh, and I deleted my FarmVille account! I didn't miss it for a week with no computer. I won't miss it (much) at home.
Heading for my second cuppa. Post on, everyone!!!!!
