It's Thursday and I decided to stop by
Awful isn't it?? OMG!!! Well I just got Bandit to eat some of the boiled chicken and rice so we will see if it helped him or not. I sure hope it did!!!! My mom's vet told her about this and it helped her dog so it should help others. I feel so bad with Bandit not feeling good today!!! Poor baby!!! So IF you have another episode please try this and see if it helps!! Plain chicken boiled and plain rice. Mix together and serve. Nothing else. No treats...NOTHING bu****er to drink and the chicken and rice.

Good morning, everyone!
Road trip tomorrow! I can hardly wait. My mom is going with me, and so are the pups. Going first to Waco to spend the weekend with my oldest daughter. I'll be so happy to see her. Then on Monday, we'll drive down to our lakehouse at Canyon Lake, just north of San Antonio. We'll get to see my youngest daughter and grandson for several days! Little Benny is 9 mos old today. This ol' Mimi can't wait to see him!
The road trip will be good because it will break up this long 4 weeks that my DH is gone. I sure do miss him when he's gone. It will be good to get out of Dodge for awhile.
My oldest wants us to go out to eat Mexican food tomorrow night. I'm still on soft foods until next Monday. Any suggestions as to what I should order?
Lots to do today to get ready to leave. Laundry going right now. Have to run to the store and the gas station later today. Then packing late this evening.
Hope everyone is having a great Thursday. Prayers and hugs to those in need!

Aloha OFF friends....George...how wonderful to see you again. I have been away a lot, too, and am so happy when I see oldtimers come back in. You always make me think of baseball...and Eileen! Even though I'm not a huge fan, I love hearing you and Eileen get all excited about the competitions. I am so very happy for your son. In this crazy world, finding a job that is thriving is so special. I am happy for you.
Life here on Maui the last few months has been crazy busy. We dodged the big tsumani bullet in a major way. However, there was much damage on the north shore, including boats grounding, buildings flooding, etc. It was pretty much cleaned up in a week. I feel so very sad for the people of Japan....that can't be anything but misery. I know that living here always puts us in the path of a tsunami and/or an earthquake. I try to live a day at a time, and not worry about what hasn't happened.
A few weeks ago I had cataract surgery, and my right eye is excellent. However, I had complications on the L eye and have had stitches in there for almost a month. Drives me nuts! The last two stitches will come out next Monday, and it seems like I will be able to drive easily without glasses, and will only need them reading. Long process, and a little worrisome, but I am thankful that it is almost over.
So many of you are on adventures of one sort or another. I love coming in and hearing what you all are doing, and I wish for your lives surprises (Hey, hey Judy!), successes (Yeah, Monica!), and peace.
Wow...it is only 8:00 a.m. here in Hawaii and so many have already posted. We do not change for daylight savings time, so we are now one more hour different from mainland.
With so much aloha,
Maui Karen

Hi George and my OFF family:
I'm getting on here really late today ... I spent most of the morning/early afternoon unpacking and installing a new printer. Yes, I finally have a new all-in-one wireless printer that works. I had hoped to trade in my old wireless that never worked for me (well, the paper would go through but nothing would print, the scanner didn't work, the software didn't work, etc.). I looked at one with a fax, but I'd have to have an extra line, so I skipped that one ... this one has everything but the fax and has the touchscreen and the apps, etc. Kinda cool. Anyway, Office Depot wouldn't give me the trade-in because the printer I wanted wasn't $299 or more ...oh well, I'll have to try to sell it on Craigslist. Maybe someone can figure out how to make it work.
Woke up this morning with stiff fingers, elbows and shoulders ... also with a cough. I figure the cough is an allergy cough. We have lots of pollen, tough, which is why I have the windows/sliding door closed. Trees are still budding ... I have so many tree/grass allergies, so spring is tough on me.
George, I'm looking forward to meeting you, too. I realized that your birthday weekend is Easter weekend. It will be good to spend it with my family (my nephew and his little family live in Dallas). I get to meet my new grandnephew, Alexander. He looks a lot like his dad.
Oh well, another day at work. I'm sleepy ... didn't sleep well again, got up too early. Maybe I can take a little nap. Have a good day.

Hi George,
I checked in here earlier today, and forgot to post, I was so caught up in reading everyone else's posts. Go figure.
Nothing exciting happened today. I am recuperating from foot surgery, so I slept and watched TV. Big day for me.
Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive.
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
