Other than one roommate (the aforementioned Roxane) when I got out of college and one other roomie (crazy Gwen) for awhile when I worked on my first newspaper, I have lived alone most of my adult life. At first, it kinda spooked me; I couldn't go to sleep without the radio on. But now, I'm so used to it, I rather prefer my alone time. Yes, I enjoy other people's company, but there are days I just want to be with my kitties watching a ballgame at home.
