Hey Everyone It's Wednesday - Whatcha Doin Today?
Trying to clean house this week, but I get so tired so easily. And this big ol' house just feels like it has got away from me again. I am so ready to downsize. DH and I do not need a house this size, but we're waiting for the real estate market to make a come back. I wi**** would hurry.
Saw the news about Elizabeth Taylor on a website a few minutes ago. Some young person wrote that she was a great singer and would be missed! A great singer? Honestly. Maybe she was a great singer, but I wouldn't have called that her main talent, would you?
Better shake a leg and look lively around here. Still got lots to do before my Mom and I take off on Friday to see my girls.
Have a great day everyone!

Sad about Liz, I remember reading last week that she was in the hospital and thinking the next thing we'd hear is her dying, sad that it has happened, as for the young person, the young folks did not grow up with our famous Liz, what a beauty she was and her life was remarkable but marred with many of the same life dramas that exist in living, but were played out in the public eye for all to witness. . .
Glad you are not having any cravings yet, that may last a while, enjoy it while it lasts (lol). Have a great day!

As we wonderful women over 50 begin our journeys life does kick up in ways not mentioned.
One of these tricks is the release of stored estrogen's into our blood stream. So as we got older and fatter all those wonderful hormones decided to stick around and take up residence in the lumps of fat spread out all under our skin. As we have success on the pathway to healthier, thinner lives....the stored hormones get evicted from the fat and back into our lives. Talk about PMS, talk about mood swings, talk about night sweats. I had gone through menopause years before I had WLS. After WLS went through it again. Not appreciated. So I wanted you to understand that this is and will continue to impact your life. You have had some MAJOR changes in just a few weeks. Make a list of these changes...give yourselff CREDIT for making them. Understand them, face them, embrace them, and conquer them...OH YES YOU CAN. Hugs to you. Write letters to yourself
Thanks for the information, pal!

I had a wonderful visit with Candy & Carla. The three of us got together later than planned so our visit was short, but very sweet. Carla brought us to a lovely area filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Since Candy had a time deadline, we ate right away at a place called The Columbia. Delicious food, outdoor but inside. Over dinner we chatted like old friends, which we are because of OFF. This forum is special in many ways. Developing relationships with people of all walks of life, diversity, customs, and life experiences with ONE common thread, WLS. Priceless.
Candy & I found delightful and inexpensive (the area is filled with high end expensive shops) sundresses. We each got one in bright, bold, bodacious colors and designs.
Carla carted us around. Went back to Carla's before 7, Candy left, and Carla & I did a little shopping before she brought me home. Hopefully Carla can come and place here at the resort soon.
Hubby was so delighted for my girls day. He was as excited as I was. He didn't play poker, but stayed with Yoda and they washed the truck and RV together. The pollen here is inches thick. Looks some cook took TONS of yellow saffron and poured it over everything.
Not much on agenda today. We want to bath Yoda. His haircut/groom is really growing in after 6 weeks. He has curly, wispy ears and fuzzy feet. All the pollen gets picked up by these fuzzy feet. We wash his feet upon arrival home so it doesn't bother him or fill the RV.
He was tired this AM from all that work yesterday. He came out gave us kisses and went back to bed. After 15 minutes he came out, picked up his halter and brought it to us. Time to go out. Too cute.
Hope all have a great day. Hugs, Monica....special prayers to our military service people helping in Japan, Libya, and around the world.
Amazing how our 4-legged family members can brighten our days and the things they learn to do that are so cute. My Roxie was only in my home for about 2 or 3 days when she would come in and head right for the counter where the treat jar was kept and she would sit nicely and look at it and then me. . . well these days she seems to want to get a treat for most everything she does, including when I walk through the door (lol). . . what joy she brought me after the tears of losing my sweet Dillinger. . . I am grateful and look forward to years of enjoyment before having to face the inevitable once more.
Hugs, have a great day!

Yoda sounds so cute! My little Patty Kate and Lulu are my fur babies. They keep me company while my hubby is gone. Don't know what I would do without them!
Have a great day!

Tom spent the night at the VA hospital in Syracuse having his sleep study. Neither of us got much sleep. He was there, hooked up to wires and I was alone in the house for maybe the second time in my life.

A nap is in order.
