You are making wonderful progress!

I think that one of the challenges post op is realizing that we can't/don't lose the weight overnight. Of course we all want it off YESTERDAY!!!! And we are all prone to stalls, plateaus, and slow times as well as the times that it all goes well.

I like to view my progress as an average - so you are down an average of 4 lbs. per week post op. That is terrific!

And consider other ways to measure progress as well. Take measurements. Take pictures. Set aside a "before" dress or pair of pants to keep to help you recognize how far you have come now and in the future. For me, those "measures" have been terrific reminders on the days when the scale didnt seem too cooperative!

Wow, Lilee, I think 35+ pounds is fabulous!  I'm almost to week 4, so you're just a bit ahead of me, time-wise.  You give me hope and inspiration, girlfriend!

I actually did this not once but several times. . . The next time you are at the store put 3 ten lb sacks of sugar in yur cart and add another 5 lb one. Try to lift them all at once by yourself. . . Now tell me how much better it is to NOT be carrying that around all the tme!. Lileee, you're doing great and will continue to do so. Way to go! PS NOW put the sugar back on the shelf. Do NOT take it out of the store with you!  Or even more graphic would be that 35.5 lbs in lard or Crisco!

Karen gave you good info and while it is hard not to, try not to focus on pounds lost, but doing what you need to ahieve your desired results long-term.  Are your clothes fitting differently, are you taking measurements, pictures monthly to see and feel the visual results is what helped me, my weightloss was very slow and I was frustrated often, but the end result was successful and you are bound to achieve it.  Enjoy your new life as it unfolds, you're doing G R E A T!!!

Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Very good work!!!

I found that the tape measure was more friendly. The months that the scale seemd stuck, my trusty tape made me happy.

I became so obsessed with the scale and the numbers, it was driving me nuts. I had my hubby put it in the trash.
