Good morning! I'm up and waiting for my weekly phone call from hubby in Saudi. I never know when to expect it. Could be now or could be at noon. So I don't get too much done on Sunday mornings until he calls.
Having a fried egg for breakfast. First time I've tried it. Little different textured than scrambled. Not so sure about this.
I've been walking a mile a day with my mom the past few days. It just seems to wipe me out. I come home and take a 2 or 3 hour nap afterwards. As you can imagine, I'm not getting much done around the house because of the long naps! I know I need to walk, but I need to clean house a bit too!
I'm debating about mowing the grass. We have a riding lawn mower, so it's not like I'm going to be out there pushing a hand mower around. I think I need to try it or the grass is going to get away from me soon. We live on 10 acres, but I only have to mow about 2 acres of that as yard. The rest is pasture.
Very proud of you, Monica! You sound so happy these days! I'm glad your hubby is feeling so much better now. And Yoda, too!
I don't know what I would do without my fur babies when my DH is gone. They keep me company and keep me from being blue. Hard to be depressed with two little fun-loving puppies in the house. They either want to play or to cuddle all the time. It's a blessing.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. It's finally officially Spring, so y'all enjoy it!

I am late posting today. Sorry. Been busy, talked on the phone with my AA sponsor for about an hour. Good talk. She has helped me tremendously in the past year or so.
I am in the middle of doing a ton of stuff around the apartment to get things better organized. I downsized from a two bedroom townhouse to a one bedroom apartment with an eat-in kitchen, so I have too much stuff. Problem is, I downsized over a year ago, and am still trying to get rid of stuff. I am a mini-hoarder. My daughter and daughter-in-law have encouraged me to purge my belongings. I have done a pretty good job this week, and put about 8 garbage bags of bedding and clothes and curtains in my car for a halfway house for women nearby.
So, today, I will be cleaning around here, purging more stuff, and organzing my bedroom. I have toe surgery on Tuesday and want to get things in order before that, because I will rest easier if things are together.
Tonight, I will hit my AA meeting, and then continue my organizing.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Trish

Trish, I read an article about downsizing/cleaning out (which we are also doing....for the last 4 years!) that took an interesting approach.
It was called "zero based" cleaning. In other words, if I were cleaning by bookshelves, I would take ALL the books off the shelf and box them up. Put them in storage. As you want or need a specific book, go get it. At the end of the year, get rid of anything you didn't want or need. Ditto for the closets, cabinets, etc.
It's a little drastic for me, but an interesting concept, no? What would be left if we took the plunge and did it this way!

Good morning Monica and fellow OFF'ers.
Everyone sounds busy and upbeat this morning.
I have been spending a lot of time at the rodeo these past 3 weeks but it is over now. It is officially spring but Houston jumped right over it and went from winter to summer. We are haveing temps in the 80's, but it is breezy so it is nice. Just hope it stops there and doesn't get any hotter.
I not doing anything special just living life.
Prayers for those who need them and hugs and best wishes to all.

Hey Linda! I live right up the road from you in Nacogdoches. I have relatives in Kingwood and I go through there all the time on my way back and forth to the airport. We didn't make it to the rodeo this year, but maybe next year.
I know what you mean about the warmer temperatures! However, any day I don't have to turn on my AC is a "spring" day to me. Warm here, but nice and breezy today. I do so enjoy springtime.
Better get back to my mowing. Just came in for a potty and lunch break. Still got quite a bit left to go.

Vickie, I feel the same way about the A/C, here in La., but usually have to have it on even now because of the pollen/trees and grass right now and since I live on the ground floor on a busy street, it's noisy even at night. If I didn't sleep with the windows closed, I'd roast without out the a/c. I even roast with it on at times. I keep waking up sweating.

I have allergies and I have to run my AC all the time. My only concession is during the winter when I run nothing. I make up for higher summer AC bills with my no heat bills in the winter. My poor hubby gets cold so I tell him put on socks and an extra blanket. I am not heartless, just don't want to get sick.
I love rodeo never saw one until I was 50 but I am making up for it now.
