Thanks Vickie! I am still waiting to hear from the pain dr. It is almost time for me to go for my blood test so I figure I can stop in and see whats going on seeing as his office is right there by the hospital where I get my bllod drawn. Heck if the mountain doesn't come to me I might as well go to the mountain huh? LOL

Any way the pain I have has alot to do with arthritis I think. thanks to my moms side of the family. I had some blocks done in my back last spring and that helped ALOT! I also had a block done in the sciatic nerve area for my leg. As for the hip...not sure why it keeps hurting me but dr did give me a shot there and man that one about made me jump through the ceiling!! Might be time for another shot not sure. Been hurting ever since that slip on the ice a few weeks ago. My feet have always hurt. The toe I had surgery on was a hammer toe and that one is really hurting me. I did call the foot dr a minute ago but he isn't in on wednesdays. So I will call him tomorrow morning and see if I can get in.

Thanks for the prayers!!

Good morning, OFF!

Waiting for an email this morning from my husband so I'll know he made it to the rig okay.  This 2 day travel time from home to the rig plays havoc with my nerves.  Since the disaster in Japan, there's been virtually no word on the happenings in the Middle East.  I would like to know that Saudi has settled down some, you know?  Once my husband leaves the airport in Houston, I have no contact with him until he makes it safely to the rig.  I used to eat myself silly, waiting to hear from him.  Can't do that anymore, now can I?

Today I am determined to take ALL of my vitamins and supplements.  I'm trying to work it all in, I swear I am.  But there's just so many pills to take all day long.  I've never had to take pills on a daily basis before.  I start out each day with the best of intentions, but by bedtime, I realize I've missed a few.  I might have to set reminders on my phone or something.  How do you all remember to take all of your pills?

I am loving the soft food diet this week.  I can finally eat meat again.  Hallelujah!  Pre-surgery, I thought I would miss the sweets the most, but I haven't even given sugar a thought.  What I've missed is MEAT!  My husband asked me the other day if I was craving anything, and I said, "STEAK!"  (Specifically, beef tenderloin!)  Haven't tried that yet, but I've had some ground chicken and ground turkey this week.  Yummy.

Not a lot on my schedule today.  Got a haircut this afternoon, which I am looking forward to!  I feel like a shaggy dog.  Trying to wrangle an appointment at MD Anderson for DH when he comes home in April.  We want a second opinion and hopefully more treatment options for his prostate cancer.

Thinking about making a trip to see my daughters and little grandson again soon.  One daughter lives in Waco, and the other lives in San Antonio.  When I go to visit them, I just make a big loop around Texas.  Spend a few days visiting with each one.  It helps to pass the time while hubby is away.  (And you know I've got to go see that grandbaby!)

Love to all!  Proud of so many who are persevering in the face of so many health and addiction issues.  Stay strong sistas!

Vickie

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I am on here late ... but that's good news because I finally slept well ... slept til 11:20 and then lounged in bed while Juliette greeted me and gave me kisses. I feel so much better. I was so out of it yesterday I answered the phone at work (we are the CPC as in Content Production Center) as "PCP". That got a lot of laughs ... even from me.

Work was a ***** last night ... the sports dept. decided they wanted to send out all the photos and write the headlines ... so most of the night I sat there with nothing to do, and then everything got dropped on me in the final hour and a half.

The bloodwork came back on me and nothing's wrong, but I still hurt a lot, still having night sweats ... not as many last night.

Anyway, not much happening here, just work again tonight. Have a good day.

Trish and all OFF friends,   I didn't get up until 12 noon. What a lazy person, but it sure felt good.  Sounds like everyone has a lot going on. I'm going to an OA meeting tonight. First time back since my surgery. Missed talking w/ my sponsor last night because of the time change. Arizona does not change but we must adjust to every one else. Part of the year (now) we are Pacific time. The rest of the year is Mountain time.  Thanks for all the encouragement I received while recovering from the surgery. You all are great!!!   Mag
