Good Morning OFF Family,
It is raining here in PA, and I am up due to a firend having an emergency.  I will be falling asleep again in a little while.

Today I will make an AA meeting, ane then the gym for a swim.  This afternoon, a dcotor's appointment and then dinner at a friend's house.  He and his family are missionaries home on furlough.

If there is time, I may make a support group meeting at Barix in Langhorne, PA.  I desperately need the support, and have not been to one in ages.

Hugs,
Trish

As usual I'm up and preparing for a day at school. I am impatiently waiting for tomorrows weather which is slated to be "SUNNY" and in the 60's. YIPPEEE!!!!
Today I'm dreading my last class of the day. I have a sixth grader with some real emotional issues. Never know if they will come in happy or have a melt down. Ah well, never a dull moment.
Well enough whining...time to get my butt in gear.
Have a great day everyone...
Prayers to all...

Morning all. Sober 133 days and so proud of me.
Sun, sun, sun expected today. We need rain here and would change weather with you.
Played Texas Holdem last night and came home with $$$ in pockets. Hubby gave me the winnings for next weeks Girls day with Carla and Candy. Carla commented on FB that now I can get a camera.
Discovered a new way to wake Yoda up in AM. Hubby bought big beef bones for him, ribs. So I put them in the crock pot last night with veggies and spices (will keep broth for soup) and let it cook overnight. When I got up I gave it a stir and out popped Yoda from the bedroom, nose in air and body sniffing.
Have not slept great since time change. Frustrated that this time change thing flipped me last Fall and again now.
So saddened for the people of Japan. Their display of patience, respect, and honor during this horrific tragedy is amazing. How different from the aftermath of Katrina.
Prayers, hugs, and good vibrations to you all. Monica

Monica, you're so right about the people of Japan. They are a stoic, strong nation and will have to rely on those qualities for many years to come.

I'm so jealous of your day with the girls next week. You'll love Candy, she's a real sweetheart.

Thank goodness I have an appointment with the plastic surgeon tomorrow. I have a spot in my ab that is very sore where the muscle was reattached to the skin. It hurts most of the day and night, and I'm getting pretty tired of it. I don't like having to take Flexeril and Tylenol to get through the day or sleep at night. It's been 9 weeks today, so I thought this sort of thing would have cleared out by now. Oh well. Such is life.

Work is picking up, thank goodness. Hoping to go see our sweet coworker who had her baby yesterday. She's a good sport who knows that little Zoey has four crazy grandmas waiting to spoil the heck out of her!

Okay, off I go. Congratulations Monica, you're my hero!

Monica,
Congratulations on your sobriety.  Keep on keeping on.  You are doing great.  My sister once did a roast in the crock pot overnight, and her dog would not let her sleep because of the smell coming from the kitchen.  LOL

You are right about the Japanese people's sense of patience and honor.  They are in their own personal Hell, and yet so strong.  We could learn from that.

Hugs,
Trish

Good mornin' ya'll.
Monica, you are not the only one proud of you!! Good job!
The Japanese thing is just heartbreaking. The 150 volunteers that keep going into the nuclear power plant in groups of 50 are truely heros!!
PT this morning at 9:30. Then a quick stop at the fabric store on the way home. I see my orthopedic doc tomorrow and he'll tell me if he is happy with my progress.
We bought a new treadmill yesterday. It has to be shipped from another store. They are assembling it for me. If I wait for them to deliver it, it won't be til Wed and would cost me $100. Now I have to see who's truck I can borrow on Friday afternoon to get it. My son's truck that takes a ladder to get into, or my grandson's. It is a Spirit XT 485. New from Play it Again Sports, in Wilmington (60 miles away). It cost me, with tax $2076. My DH pointed out that is about 4 years membership at the gym! True, but I can't work out in my jammies at the gym, and I will not be able to invent excuses NOT to walk!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Hi Trish and OFF family,
Happy Hump Day...and it's off running again here at work. It's getting warmer here in Michigan and let those huge piles of snow melt in our parking lot.

Plan on going to work out at the gym after work, then run home, get hubby and go to choir practice.

Our weight loss challenge is going great with my team, we are staying motivated and moving! We would love to take home the prize which would be about 450.00 for each of my team members. Oh well, if we don't win, we will be down in our weight. LOL

Hugs and prayers for all those in need. Special hugs to our gals who are staying sober and going to their AA meetings. They just hold a special place in my heart. I learn a lot from them and learning to embrace my father who passed...he was a recovered alcoholic who worked in a mission helping people who had alcohol/drug addictions. Yep, I'm proud of my dad and love the person he turned out to be.

Enjoy this day, it's a new one, lets make it special because we make a difference in someones life. We mentor our children, grandchildren, our gals who are teachers...now that's special, being that wonderful teacher who children always remember! Me?...I remember my 1st/2nd grade teacher who was a nun and the principle of our school. I loved that nun! She had a calling.
Hugs

Good morning Off friends.
Suppose to be 53 here today.  Its getting there but I still want 70 and those soft breezes!   I am threatening my best friend to hitchhike down to see her an Fl and  hang a hammock  under the back axle of her travel trailer for a couple of days.
These two little ones we have right now are a pair!!  Little livewires!  and it seems if one is acting out issues from the abuse they suffered they both are at the same time!      I still think once in a while I am getting too old for this.
We need to replace the  carpet in our little motor home this spring.    Steve is gonna rip out the old today  and I want to help and he won't let me! I just want to do something with that thing  and since its still cold to camp  at least working in it would be fun!    Hes right in that the dust and such from that old carpet would send me to the ER with breathing problems!  Darn these allergies!
Just got an invite from angel Mary for shopping and lunch out!  better get these kids into something besides jammies!!   prayers going up for all friends here.   I might not remember all the names and needs   but He does.
Have a great spring day everyone!!

Morning Trish and OFF family!!!

Well its raining here in Ohio...grrrrrr figures because its my day off...lol wanted to get some running around done today and now its raining so not sure if I want to go out or not.

Put a call in to the pain dr and still waiting for them to call me back. Have to call the foot dr but don't want to tie up the phone if the pain dr calls back...sighs.....so I wait and see what I will do today. I hurt again so bad last night I came home and sat in chair and didn't move til bedtime! That didn't take long because I worked til 9. I hate the closing shift with a passion! Seems when I have to do all the cleaning up I hurt the most. Maybe I will mention it to the scheduler and see if I can get out of so many closing shifts...haha like that would happen....LOL.

Want to get my blood test today and I forgot its a fasting test and I ate a cookie just before midnight last night and now I have to wait til noon before I can get the test done now. So now I have to wait til after that to eat or drink and I am hungry and thirsty...grrrr so dumb to eat that cookie!! :-(

Nothing else happening so I will get going and figure out something else to do while I wait for the phone to ring and noon to get here...thinking of you all and prayers going out also!!

HUGS
