Candy, Have a great time. Love those road trips! Will you be anywhere near St. Augustine? If so, it's a wonderful way to spend a day. I just had a few hours but took a carriage tour through the historic area and it was so much fun. I would think mid March would be wonderful. Hug those sisters (and yourself) for me!

Top 'O The Mornin' to ya!
I wish I could make a quick run to Florida Candy! It sounds so fun... give Carla and Monica a hug for me please!
I'm all greened up and almost ready to drive to work (school). I bought this leprechaun shirt after St. Patrick's Day last year. I just noticed that it has a little circle on it near my left boob that says "Irish you would buy me a beer!" I'll have to put another button over that.... tonight is a big night for my best friend's restaurant- she and her husband own this Irish Pub- it's very busy today, with bagpipes and corned beef and limericks and toasts... oh- and green beer of course. We always have so much fun on St. Patrick's Day!
I need to get to bed a bit early tonight- I'm ditching school tomorrow to go to a scrapbook fair. I am going with a group of women- we start with breakfast at 7:30 and make a day of it. Then we all have Bunco tomorrow night. I will need the weekend to rest up.
I took my Mom to the urologist for tests on Tuesday. They were quite invasive, not pleasant, and didn't provide any useful information about why she leaks urine. She has had the problem for 25 years- it started when her doctor "tied up" her bladder after her hysterectomy. I think that doctor probably knew he wouldn't figure out why- just wanted to charge for those tests which were done in his office. I'm angry- he just put her on a drug to see if it would help- he could have done that in the first place. My Mom was digusted- said "Well that was a wasted ordeal!" I totally agree. I didn't really want her to do it anyway, but she had hope that he would be able to fix the problem. He told her that she was too old to have surgery- so why didn't he say that in the first place, BEFORE the invasive tests.
I'd better get going.... hope you all have a really good day! I certainly plan to do that!

Morning y'all! Happy St. Pat's!
Ahhh, travel plans during Spring Break! Candy, I hope you have a wonderful time!
I just love spring. Such a blessed time of renewal. I feel like I'm experiencing a rebirth of my own this spring. The pounds I've lost (or not lost) aside, I just feel so much better since surgery! I no longer wake up feeling like I'm in a blue funk every day. I don't feel like I have to struggle to get up, to make it through the day, to find a way to sleep at night. Instead, I feel terrific!
I walked a whole mile yesterday. First time since surgery. What the heck am I saying? First time in forever. It feels good to reclaim my body. I hope I never give up my mobility again.
Talked to my oldest daughter yesterday. She has injured her foot. Dr. thought it might be a stress fracture. She's having x-rays done this morning. I asked her if she needed her Mama (she's 28), and she said: yes, no, maybe? So I might be headed to Waco tomorrow to help her out a bit. She's teaching and working on her Ph.D. at Baylor and it's just not possible for her to take several days off to rest her foot. But I can walk her dog, fix her meals, do her laundry, etc., over the weekend. That would give her a couple of days to rest and keep her foot propped.
Still waiting to hear back from MD Anderson so I can schedule my husband's appt there next month.
Better shake a leg. Lots to do around here if I'm going out of town tomorrow. Hope everyone has a safe and fun St. Patrick's Day today!

Happy St. Patrick's Day,
I am posting late, because I went out at 5:30 this morning to babysit for friends from church who had a new baby last night. My sis-in-law spent the night with the older siblings, and I took over this morning so she could go to work.
Today is the day I change my bed from flannel sheets to regular. So, I have the washing machine going with the bedding so that I can sleep soundly.
Tonight, I will be heading to a Special Olymics Management Team meeting. I am thinking of resigning from this responsibility because it conflicts with my Bible study, and I hate missing that. I have enjoyed doing the work with the team, but should have never taken the commitment to begin with.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Trish
